Jeff Reads His Book
Jeff Reads His Book
Jeffrey Armstrong
Once upon a time, Jeff wrote a book in one month. Now he plans to read it, chapter by chapter with commentary, for everyone to enjoy! He'll critique spelling and typos, identify gaping plot holes, and ridicule the awkward dialog he incorporated into this work of literature. Come along for the exciting journey into a fantasy world riddled with grammar errors!
Powerless Epilogue
I wrap up Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. Henry skips town after a breakup/resignation double-whammy. Pauline seems oddly bothered by his leaving. Henry basically abandons his furnished home. I wonder if anyone wants to hear Bringing Balance read aloud again. Discussion questions end our fourth book in this mildly interesting podcast.

Powerless Chapter 29
I read through the last chapter of Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. Margaux gets a surprise promotion now that so many peers are inferred to be captured in some sort of trap that was vaguely mentioned three chapters ago. Henry gets called to a meeting, interrupting a scene that certainly wasn't what it appeared to be, right? Our heroes have a minor spat to close out the book's last true chapter. I talk about some lame programming language that nobody cares about. Discussion questions end a somewhat sad episode!

Powerless Chapter 28
I read through the second-to-last chapter of Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. An impressive spell cast on some eyeballs sends the bad guys down the wrong eastward (or westward?) road. Margaux ends up smelling like delicious, fresh herbs, while Henry and their companions probably smell like sewage. Our heroes decide to continue their walk to Sandhill regardless of how tired Margaux is. I copyright my million-dollar folk art idea for sale at Hobby Lobby, which I've never actually visited. Discussion questions end another exciting episode!

Powerless Chapter 27
I read through chapter 27 of Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. Henry lets Margaux sleep in so he can ogle her exposed leg. Margaux exhibits her gymnastic prowess by vaulting multiple fences and trampling people's gardens. Henry finds himself back in the prologue, which doesn't make sense. I most likely enrage my wife by implying she mispronounces the word "creek." Discussion questions end another exciting episode!

Powerless Chapter 26
I read through chapter 26 of Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. Henry gets some tender treatment from a woman finally, and it isn't Margaux. Margaux hides some details of directions that are completely unclear to the reader/listener. Jeff wonders if someone could make a map from his constant use of cardinal directions in his terrible descriptions of our heroes' travels. Discussion questions end another exciting episode!

Powerless Chapter 25
I read through chapter 25 of Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. Margaux shows some mild racism while picking out the "leader" of their three new companions. Henry finds himself bleeding after an inexplicable battle scene. Margaux finds a use for a small log. I wonder why my cat is yelling for me. Discussion questions close out a semi-exciting episode!

Powerless Chapter 24
I read chapter 24 of Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. Margaux and Henry meet some characters that possibly introduce additional diversity to this cinematic universe. Henry expresses disappointment that their new companions are not into fighting and other bro-like activities and professions. Margaux gets pretty bossy with everyone, and Henry calls her out. I solicit suggestions for limiting my slouching during work hours. Discussion questions end another exciting episode that at least makes passing references to magic.

Powerless Chapter 23
I quickly read through chapter 23 of Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. Our heroes run through the woods to avoid some not-so-observant guards. Margaux finds some urban planning unsettling, leading to a discovery. I discuss the many ways to gently wake someone up using airborne cooking vessels. Discussion questions end a surprisingly uneventful episode.

Powerless Chapter 22
I read chapter 22 of Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. Margaux whines her way out of an arrest. Henry feasts on... you guessed it, beef stew! Our heroes adjourn to a bedroom without actually doing anything in this chapter. I postulate that I never had a curfew growing up because my parents were just glad that I left the house at all. Discussion questions end our exciting episode!

Powerless Chapter 21
I read chapter 21 of Powerless, a book I wrote in a month. Our heroes wake up while camping after somehow not being attacked by bears because they left all their dirty dishes strewn about their campsite. Margaux theorizes that some flags on the side of the road are for finding fugitives rather than for marking some underground infrastructure because a responsible individual called 811 before they dug. Jeff discusses slacking at work, leading to a crisis involving CRT monitors. Discussion questions end another exciting episode!
