Living alone in my 20s has given me so much perspective. I'm trying to figure myself out and I don't wanna be around people who are asking me or who fault me for certain things (set boundaries). I was isolated but this time it's different, I'm healing and progressing, and I can't argue with that. What would you go back and tell your 14-year-old self? I've been in college for 3 years, all 3 of those years around this same time every 6 months I had a new boyfriend or "situationship" and its pitiful that I allowed the bare minimum. A lot of times people aren't familiar with how to articulate every emotion they're feeling when this new season comes and it affects your way of judgment. The person that you were in high school is no longer you, maybe the person that you were a year ago has also changed, and that's okay. Swap out the negative narratives that come with healing and change for positivity and a chance to become new. Add daily prayer into your new season or a hobby and notice a difference. I've experienced both and all i can say is thought id end up happy but one left me broke and the other with a black eye.  Trauma bonds, staying with someone whos manipulating you but you can't leave, and now there are certain things you won't tolerate from a new partner because it triggers you. Do you know what those are? Some friends are not meant to be your friends! If that girl LEFT you at the club for a DUDE, you should never speak to her again. 

Heres an episode specifically for my people that want to visit Italy and/or study abroad. If you aren’t aware, I spent 4 months abroad in Italy, rome to be exact and it was an instant overwhelming culture shock. Now yes this experience is my own but ive found that alot of other people of color have had the same experience. The goal for the 3rd party program (api) and the italian residents to me looked like they wanted abuse a black person so much that you would either give up and go home or show them the stereotypical true colors so that they could send you back to america or even worst, arrested. What i want you to take from my podcast, youtube, and tiktoks are me advising you to not lose your self in a country that already wants you gone. Research, research, and ask questions! Now don’t get me wrong, I had some fun, while abroad. It was a huge eye opener for me.  Italy is beautiful. Its surreal. In one sentence: Italy was God throwing me in the water knowing i couldnt swim but now i can.
