Knowing Your Gifts
If I ask you what your gifts are-would you be able to tell me right away or would you struggle? Our gifts are more than just our strengths and talents. Our gifts are our innate onlyness that we have within us that are meant to be shared with others. But sometimes it can be hard to find our gifts, harness our gifts and OWN our gifts. If you struggle to answer this question-tune into today's episode, I am digging into this topic more and giving you some tools to discover and OWN your gifts.

Face It Till You Make It
Alright friends, I am about to call some BS on a common phrase and word of advice-Fake it till you make. In this episode, I am calling out this sentiment that spins illusions and bypasses your lived experience and calling in a new one that fosters connection, trust and your personal power to design a life on your own terms. No more faking, it's time to face it!

Why You Need to Show Up
If you’re going to hang here with me there’s something you should know... Personal growth can have two paths: the comfortable smooth surface or the rugged transformational terrain.  If you want to skim the surface and stay in that warm, cozy space of a comfort zone then by all means, do you. But just so you know, that’s not this space. In today's episode, I am getting real about showing up AND showing out. I'm going to challenge you to get real with yourself about looking within about how you are showing up for yourself and how you are not showing up for yourself.  Can you take radical responsibility, stop bybassing your feels and starting choosing courage over comfort?  Hell yes it’s messy and hard but it’s also beautiful and real. It’s living fully alive. It’s being human. I know it feels good to slide on a sleek surface of good vibes only and living your best life. I wish I could hang out there all day too.  But I know if I really want to be the best and most authentic version of me, I have to show up and do the work.  And the work isn’t always what people want to do or doesn’t always look the way we hope. But if we deny the realness of personal growth then we deny our humanness. When you take the rugged terrain of transformation it may be below the surface but the views are way better and some pretty cool shit happens.  Because the more you show up for yourself, the more you are able to show up for others.

Confessions of An Evolving Entrepreneur: A Conversation with My Biz Bestie Abra Said
Have you ever wondered what the real deal is behind the screens of the people you follow? I know I always do.  So I decided to do a podcast episode on it.  And I invited my biz bestie, Abra Said to join me.  This episode is an unfiltered, behind the scenes of our friendship. We talk about how we met, why we collaborated, how we started a business partnership AND ended it while making our friendship stronger than ever.  We dish about how we lost our way, disconnected from our values and found our way back while supporting each other every step of the way. This is the kind of story that doesn't always get told. Because it comes with a lot vulnerability in sharing your failures, mistakes and shame based stories.  But we decided to walk our talk and create space for it to be told.     About Abra Said Abra Said is a sister, designer, educator, writer, and amateur chef. With an ever growing passion for helping womxn take over the world, she uses her talents to transform creative ideas into fully curated experiences. Abra holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management & Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development and Parent Education, from the University of Akron, and is an internationally certified life coach. She loves, dreams, writes, and cooks from her light filled loft with her boyfriend and 2 cats.   You can connect with Abra at: www.thespacecreativeco.com or @thespacecreativeco on IG and FB

The good, the bad and everything in between.  A new year is symbolic but also doesn’t mean we can’t go at our own pace and still think about what happened in the previous year well into the new one.  Honor yourself by redefining this day on your own terms.  If you are still reviewing and reflecting, I have created a FREE journal guide for you to help you extract what 2019 has revealed to you.

You Don't Have to Explain Yourself
In today’s episode, I am going to drop some major truth in the name of boundaries, self care and personal responsibility.   Around this time of year we gather with family and see many people from different chapters of our lives. Whether it's a random run in with your old high school chemistry lab partner at Target or reaching for the same cookie as your aunt at the family party, you may get asked the following questions:   How’s work? Who are you dating? Where’s the ring? When are you having kids? Have you bought a house yet? How’s that “project” going?   If these or any other questions causes you to feel like the other person feels owed an answer, they expect an explanation or they are ready to project their pity, guilt or own insecurity bullshit onto you-you're left with a choice: you can choose to engage and likely fall down an Alice in Wonderland kinda rabbit hole of fear (hi, been there, done that) OR you can choose not to explain yourself. BONUS: I have created a FREE cheat sheet for you to help you remember the 4 D's that I describe in this episode Join our Facebook group! Follow #itsherturnpodcast Instagram!
