It's About More than Real Estate
It's About More than Real Estate
David Serpa
This is the real estate show about so much more than real estate! I set out to talk to interesting people, in person, about what makes successful people successful. We are here to hack the algorithms of life! My guests have opinions and they are entitled to them. If that offends you, this isn't your show. Every week we will release two shows with real estate team leads, entrepreneurs, therapists, combat veterans, clairvoyants, and anyone that is interested in the "more" side of real estate and we will have fun doing it! I am a Marine Corps combat veteran, father of two, and successful real estate team lead of 27 agents! 100% of which, that have been here for over 18 months, make over $100,000 a year! If you enjoy the show please review, share, and keep listening! I'd love to hear your feedback! Who should I talk to next?

Long Doan Interview w/David Serpa
This may be my favorite episode to date! Long's story exemplifies everything about "It's About More than Real Estate". It's not enough that bad things happen, it's how you greet tragedy, and your rise. After his father was taken as a Political Prisoner of War in Vietnam Long Doan escaped from the country and came up with "choice theory" when he was 14 years old on his first night in a refugee camp, alone.  Long became a self made man through banking and eventually got into REO and went on to start a brokerage, and campaign for the release of his father in Washington DC with people like Senator John McCain. Long's story is compelling, beautifully told, and is all told through the lens of a man with an incredible devotion to optimism. We start with Long as a child growing up in Vietnam and transition into Real Estate, Lending, and REO towards the latter half. Welcome to Season 2! I am honored to be the one who gets to bring you this story.

It's About More than Real Estate: with David Serpa
Listen to Kris Mccullough and I have one of the most interesting conversations I have ever had in my life, let alone on this podcast!   Kris and his wife run "Kim Steel and Associates" and they are, to this day, the only group we have ever considered merging with to the point we ran hiring together and started structuring it out.   The guy is a genius.   So here is "Kris on Business, Combat, Jazz, Marijuana, and Burning it all down!"   As musicians we compare Jazz to business, and hip hop to jazz, we talk about growing up half-black in North Highlands in the 90's, we discuss the marijuana "green rush", and how cannabis can help veterans with PTSD and pain management, we discuss prescription drugs in the veteran community, going to jazz clubs with dad, analyzing the father son relationship on all it's complexities while dealing with currently losing his own father, being a better person today, not waiting for the afterlife, looking for answers in your parent's lives, manifesting, "It's not easy taking it easy" when your mind goes a million miles an hour, having kids listening to Cardone, pushing into Iraq, multiple combat deployments, PTSD, rehab, PTSD and active duty, resources for help, being a libertarian and taxes, burn out and burning it all down, energy, discussing veterans winning, meeting his wife in Iraq, and taming your inner beast.

Davida Parker - Six Figure Agent Series - Single Mom, Kids First, "Not Willing to Fail"
Davida Parker tells how she made over $100,000 on a team and why she sticks around! We dive deep into mindset with her telling us that "nothing can get to me" and that she is "not willing to fail", we discuss family with a single mom, that chooses to wake up early, get her yoga out of the way, and be intentional so she has no excuse to miss her calls!  In our "six figure agent series" I talk to another one of the six agents that is part of the 100% of our team broke that mark! We discuss: setting a clear example for your kids, eating well, raising confident kids, realizing that everything is sells, unsuccessful first year attempts, dialing with intention, offering value, nurturing your pipeline, social media, making dinner at home, finding balance, yoga, hot yoga, and why Davida loves mornings... Make sure to leave a review on iTunes by October 20th to be eligible for a free one hour session with David Serpa! Whether it's agent advice, or feedback on the show, we'd love to talk to any of our listeners!
