Rejoicing the return of It’s a Process
During the last couple years I had an unnerving sense that something had gone missing from my life, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. This morning I learned that It’s a Process has finally returned after a long hiatus, and now the world has been made whole again. I love Jennifer’s interviews, and this first foray back into the podcast is especially beautiful. Jenn walks us through an exhibition of Paula Modersohn-Becker’s paintings at the Neue Gallery and we see the show through the eyes of an artist attuned to the ways color, expression, psychology, and portraiture can be folded together into moving works of art. As an art-lover not living in New York, I selfishly hope Jenn will narrate every show she goes to from this point forward so that we can all live vicariously through the smart, funny, and sensitive ways she experiences the work.

Best art podcast
Jen is such a good interviewer. Perhaps bc her own art practice spans multiple media she’s able to really engage very disparate artists. She’s smart, curious and humble—in the sense that she’s not out to impress her interviewee or the audience, or find an excuse to just grandstand about something she’s experienced or been thinking about—she’s really there to try to understand and draw out the guest. Crucial for a good interview, yet too often lacking in the podcast world. But she’s also very present as a real person and artist in the interview as well. My favorite art podcast for sure!

Unpretentious and Insightful
An unpretentious and insightful look inside influential, contemporary artists and their work. The casual format provides what appears to be an honest look at being an artist in the 21st century. The thoughtful conversation is guided by a well informed host, who is happy to follow wonderful tangents and explore her guests pasts, presents and futures. If you want a peek behind the curtain, this is it.

Inspiring conversations between artists
Jennifer is an intuitive interviewer who pries loose pearls of encrusted interior information from fellow artists… as a fellow artist, this is helpful for my own work… riveting!
