Best Movie Podcast
I listen to a lot of movie podcasts. This one is hands down my favorite. It’s the only one that talks to directors.

What a show!
Loved listening to this beauty on the way to work! Can’t wait for more!

Bravo!
Love, love, love behind the scenes stories of movies. And you find out about the stories by interviewing those who made them. Thank you.

Think he'll have more diversity this season...
...I doubt it. There are probably a few more Hollywood stories from women and minorities than what's featured - long stretches of episodes with only men. Yeah, it's more work to find them, but Seth's a journalist.

Brilliant
Just discovered this podcast, and I love it – love the guests, the history that you learn, and the great way the show is presented. Thank you!

Watch out
Some people are saying Seth is like the Marshal McLuhan of movie discourse.

Perfect For Curious Film Fanatics
I just found this podcast 2 weeks ago and have been marathoning episodes ever since. Love the little tidbits re behind the scenes mini-dramas and aspects of producing. I have a request and hope they see this: I'd love to hear them do episodes on my 2 favorite films... 🌸THE AGE OF INNOCENCE and CHINATOWN🌸

Great one-on-one conversations with Hollywood directors!
What a find! You rarely hear directors talk about their process — whether it’s screenwriting, casting, festival runs, or battles with studio heads. But this podcast is all one-on-one conversations with directors of really unique and groundbreaking films, many we forget about. Can’t wait to hear the next one!

Not sure how I feel
I liked it but sometimes I felt like they should shut up and play the interview.

These guys are great!
This is a weird comparison but this show makes me feel a little bit like Great British Baking Show... the hosts are pleasantly silly, but also smart and very positive; and the guests are interesting even when I don’t know their work. I highly recommend this show!

Hosts are lame afffff
They probably think they’re funny. Why is there a running commentary that interrupts the interview? We don’t care for your interjections or opinions. Let the interviews be the focus of the podcast.
lame show lame dudes
10/10
First time listener & I can verify that this is a quality film podcast. The Dan Gilroy Nightcrawler episode was insightful and fun. Keep them coming

This is it??
Here is a perfect example of a perfect concept gone awry. This is a show of occasionally fascinating interviews, consistently interrupted by two guys doing - what is it even?? - a play by play of the interview, I guess. What an ill-advised concept. Instead of letting these people speak for themselves, the two hosts are always breaking up the flow of the stories to essentially sum up what has already been said, and then lamely tease the next bit of a story we are about to hear. This might work for a five or ten minute highlight podcast with several different interview subjects, but it is a horrible format for a nearly hour long show with a single guest. Frankly, it is disrespectful to the guest who has been generous enough to sit in and provide their personal histories. I am unsure for the reason these two guys think they are not only more compelling than their guest, but can tell this person’s own stories in a more interesting way. To be clear: they are neither particularly eloquent speakers, reminiscent often of a middle school news program, nor are they as clever as they believe themselves to be. The result is often painful.

Appreciative Listener
Way to go guys! Your combination of interviews and audio clips makes me want to search out, and re-watch, these films, and appreciate those that I haven’t seen. Look forward to the next season!

Rae Dawn Chong best interview ever!
Super informative, fun, funny, entertaining, witty, intelligent & charming! Thank you Ms Chong. Thank you podcast guys for having Ms Chong on your show. What a refreshing & pleasant surprise.

Love the show : Superman Episode
But it was David Prowse who played Darth Vader and not Chewbacca who trained Chris Reeve for Superman

Love it, but...
I really, really hate the theme song, but other than that, this podcast is great. I really enjoy the guests that I never hear on other podcasts. This is good stuff. Funny, informative, and entertaining.

Best workouts ever!
Great podcast to listen to while lifting weights. Lol. I actually want to spend more time at the gym to hear these great interviews and stories! Well done! Addicted. 💪🏼

stop cutting away from the interview
just let the interview flow we don’t need the interjections and explanations of what we just heard it’s very annoying for the listener

Another Sad, Stupid Bro-cast
Just what the world needs; two more sub-talented morons who don’t know when to shut up. I tried listening to the William Friedkin episode about filming The Exorcist. What I got was snippets of an interview constantly interrupted by two jackasses explaining what we just heard Friedkin say, in case we’re too stupid to understand him, with plenty of sniggering at the moronic jokes they make, like they’re a couple of junior-high-schoolers. Like so many of these idiotic “bro-casts” that are flooding the market, the hosts seem to think they’re more important and entertaining than the subject they’re supposed to be covering. They are wrong. A complete waste of time.

Yay, they’re back
Was so sad when I didn’t see any new shows appear in my library and was about to unsubscribe when the announcement on season 2 appeared. There are alot of movie reviews and interview podcasts out the but I love both the format of mixing the interviewees and interviewers comments together. I also love the personalities of each of the guys, and their interactions with each other.

Enjoyable, informative
The hosts are very engaged with the people they interview. Their commentary is funny yet always respectful.

You Hollyshould Be Listening To This Podcast!
Take a journey with Seth and Chip down Hollywood memory lane and learn dirty & dark secrets and nice & neat facts as they interview some of the more colorful figures of cinema’s past. The only problem with the podcast is that there aren’t a zillion episodes!!
Thighmasterr
Love this podcast!
This can be one f my favorite podcasts, especially when they’re talking about a movie or to a person I’m really interested in, but they always get good stories. The guys are funny too and ask interesting questions. Favorite episodes are Laura Elena Harding talking about Mulholland Drive (one of my favorite films) and Thora Birch talking about American Beauty (fascinating).

Boring
Hosts are terrible

I wanted to s more
The concept is good - loved hearing from William Friedkin. The problem is the choice of hosts. They are painful to listen to. The banter is so desperate and juvenile that it would lead you to believe they could care less about the subject matter. Bring on a host/hosts who actually have respect and reverence for the entertainment industry.

Love it!
I could listen to this podcast all day! Its really cool getting the behind the scenes stories on each episode. Love the hosts and the content! Highly recommend.

Wonderful Window into Hollywood
Wonderful podcast that actually manages to show a sweet side of Tinseltown; whether it’s the lifelong friendship’s formed for the cast of Charlie’s Angels or the determination of Disney Screenwriter Linda Wolverton, there is much talent and artistic integrity being celebrated here. It’s also oddly hilarious at times and does not shy away from exposing the absurdity of the Hollywood experience.

A nice review on iTunes
I realized it wouldn’t kill me to write a review of this, and I think Seth and Chip are very funny men who deserve good things. So here’s 5 stars.

My new favorite movie podcast
I love this podcast. It’s funny, informative, and unique. I really like how Seth and Chip discuss the subject while cutting back and forth to the interview with the celebrity. The two also work well together, with Chip providing funny comedy without being annoying. I subscribed. Now we need more episodes!

A Fun Look Back With Hollywood Insiders
Chip and Seth are great hosts. Knowledgeable without being stuffy or too lofty about their subject matter. A totally entertaining listen.

Fun
Really engaging and funny movie making stories. Please make another Friedkin episode! Cruising. Or anything. Please.

A missed opportunity.
I recently heard the “interview” of Tim Blake Nelson. Unfortunately, the hosts chatter took up about 80% of the “interview.” Also, the hosts went on a social justice warrior critique of all the Coen Brothers films. This podcast sells itself as an insiders trip down memory lane. It is not. The hosts need to get out of the way, stop editorializing, and let the guests do all the talking. Thumbs Down.

I think this is a fantastic podcast. You guys had me hooked from the first episode. I think the banter between the hosts and the guests are truly terrific. I love the chemistry and the humor. I can’t wait to listen to more. -Andy Samwick

Hosts think they’re the stars
While I enjoy hearing the stories from the subjects the two hosts seem more interested in their own voices and it tends to get old fast.

Worst Podcast
Absolutely awful. I listened to the Tim Blake Neson ep. Instead of allowing their important, intelligent guests to talk, they only give brief snippets and fill the rest of the time with their boring, uninformed, unfunny, frequently narcissistic and insulting comments. They know precious little about movies and movie history. But what do you expect from H.R., which used to be an industry standard is is now a scandal rag / gushing promotional outlet?

I have been looking for a podcast like this forever. Seth and Chip have such incredible chemistry (I bust out laughing at the gym and people think im nuts), the guests are icons, the Hollywood history fascinating. Best new podcast in years.

The Format of this Show is Maddening
The subject can be interesting but the format of the show leads them to constantly being interrupted by the host. It leads to a truly frustrating experience.

One of the best new entertainment podcasts in ages! Hosts Seth & Chip keep everything interesting; inserting intriguing interviews with the legends while providing their own brilliantly hilarious commentary. Put this one at the top of your lists!
