Everyone needs to listen to this show!
What I appreciate most about Maureen is how openly and directly she takes on a topic most people would rather avoid: ageism in the workplace. It's real. It happens to a lot of us. And staying quiet about it is exactly what keeps us stuck.
Maureen is an exceptional host. She knows how to pull real insight out of her guests instead of settling for the surface-level stuff. It Gets Late Early is a show everyone needs to be listening to.

Cold Comfort in Dark Times
It’s curious to think that there can be something light-hearted discussing such a dark subject matter — the slow-moving economic and social collapse of society, blah blah blah — but here we are. Maureen does a great job hosting and producing the show, bringing conversations down to earth and helping listeners see hope for themselves in the stories of others. Sometimes there aren’t answers, indeed only more questions, but when you add it up, it’s the confidence and clarity we need to take on the world. So, stop reading reviews and go listen, while you’re still young!

Maureen is the real deal
Maureen is taking on some of the most important and timely conversations in today’s workplace: ageism, sexism, and all the other “isms” we don’t talk about enough. Her thoughtful, empathetic interview style creates a space where guests open up, thrive, and share their truths. Some stories are hard to hear, but they’re also deeply inspiring and motivating. Listen if you want to feel more connected to the world and the people in it. And so you can say you were following Maureen from the very beginning.

Did Maureen and Bradley really say that? Out loud?
It was 6:30am and I wasn’t fully awake.
I was pedaling on the stationary bike when I heard it.
“Wait–did they really just say that?“
I caught myself looking around the busy gym—like, did anyone else hear that?
On Maureen Wiley Clough’s It Gets Late Early podcast, she and guest Bradley Richardson brought humor and clarity to a tough topic—ageism in the workplace—without holding back.
I noticed ageism before I hit my 50s.
But I couldn’t ignore it anymore when I realized I had to work harder for opportunities. I could feel the attention and opportunities shift to the up-and-comers of the generation behind me.
I now see how pervasive it is.
Women over 50 often feel it first.
Men do too, though a little later.
Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
Especially now with all the economic turmoil.
🔑 A few other nuggets that kept me listening for the rest of my workout... and might have you reflect on your situation right now:
🔹They described how your career might start to look like a mix of consulting, projects, and personal work.
🔹They didn’t sugarcoat it—entrepreneurship, while an option, takes time, energy, and a willingness to fail.
🔹They almost, but not quite said that sales skills are becoming essential—especially in this emerging economy.
🔹They pointed out that this disruption is hitting every generation—Gen Z isn’t immune.

One of my favorite podcasts! Maureen is bringing to light such an important conversation about ageism in the workplace. I don’t work in tech or the corporate world, and her episodes still resonate strongly with me. I find myself reflecting on them days after I listen. I see that as a true sign that she’s on to something here!! I look forward to more episodes!

Discussing important topics which need to be discussed
I started listening to Maureen’s podcast last summer. She is not afraid to discuss “taboo” items such as ageism, working in office and gender disparity in the workplace. Maureen has guests who share important insights to expose the truth about how companies deal with these issues. She is a pioneer and advocating for those who don’t have a voice.

Excellent focus on age in society and work
As a woman who has felt invisible in our society since my mid-sixties, it’s refreshing to see a show talk openly about ageism and how it touches the workplace. Great guests, entertaining host, fab conversations that bring fresh takes providing hope and insights!

Growing influence
Maureen is so brazen and articulate. She tackles the ageism bias problem with no holes barred. She pulls no punches, minces no words. She tells it like it is. And, that’s what I love about her and her podcast. I always learn a new perspective on this topic on each episode. Maureen’s influence is growing on this topic. I won’t be surprised to see her on 60 Minutes someday as a feature interview.

Interesting, informative and necessary
Ageism is no joke. There are so many people out there in their 40s and up who are treated like has-beens and overlooked in the job market. Maureen and her guests take a close look at the causes and effects and offer some very meaningful insights. So glad I found Maureen and this podcast.

A Breath of Fresh Air
What a great Podcast! In a world full of fake life coaches, and toxic positivity, this show truly shines and exposes the pain and alienation that so many of us aging workers are feeling, but with lighthearted moments of laughter in the mix as well. Maureen brings on varied, and insightful guests that offer great tips and wisdom for navigating a hostile, and changing tech labor market.

Eye opening!
Great podcast that really put into words something that I innately felt as a woman in tech. This podcasts sheds light on the challenges faced by older workers and the biases that exist. The special guests and experts she brings on have great insights to share. Overall, this podcast is thought-provoking and a must listen-to for all people (especially woman) as we age within the workforce

Ageism is holding us back
Maureen tackles an important issue that is holding us back, both in business and society in general. With people living longer lives and birth rates plummeting, we’re moving to an older society — this is just a demographic fact.
The transition will be smoother if we all begin to recognize just how casually ageist our culture is. Unfortunately, the current bias in favor of youth is so ingrained that we simply take it for granted.
All of that said, Maureen is a delight to listen to, and she chooses her conversations carefully. It Gets Late Early is not only an important podcast, it’s a well-done podcast.

She actually cares about the subject matter
Maureen truly cares about the subjects she engages guests in. This is not a thing she does to just get numbers, she wants her audience to learn something. Podcasts I can walk away from feeling like I learned something are rare, so keep up the great work! Please!

Very Well Done!
This podcast is so entertaining and informative. I’m very happy that this topic is coming to light and being discussed in an actionable and positive way. I could have used this 10 years ago when I was really hitting the wall of ageism in tech. I worked successfully through it for the most part, but felt like a pioneer sometimes. Thanks, Maureen, for embracing this issue and helping others navigate it.

What everyone is thinking, but not saying
Maureen tackles an important topic for the tech industry. A subtle, maybe not so subtle, bias that after 30ish - every year you age, you face a slightly steeper slope. A slightly bigger hill to climb to stay current and relevant. The interviews are informative and funny. And often add a sense of lightheartedness and ‘we’re all in it together’ to an otherwise heavy realization. After all, time moves forward for all of us.

Tech-oriented, but widely-applicable
I’ve enjoyed this podcast since the earliest episodes. While much of the discussion is tech-oriented, the topic is still widely applicable - I’ve been sharing it with friends and colleagues. Ageism is an important topic to bring into the light, and while most of the discussion is about workers over 40, we’re also reminded that it goes both ways - we’re all on the hook to show respect, no matter one’s age.

Age in tech - a critical perspective
I’m a tech CEO in my 50s, and never really thought about how age plays out either in my own career, or throughout the industry. This podcast has really gotten me to think critically about the double sword of aging as it relates to how our culture builds tech, organizations, and companies.

Important Topic
A super important topic. Agism is so rampant in our society it is practically just expected and no where more than in tech. Age happens to everyone (if we are lucky) and at some point eveyone will have to deal with it. This podcast is exactly they type of discussion we should ALL be having.

Informative and relevant for all
Each episode has been interesting and empowering. For the first time I’m realizing this content applies to me and many of my peers even if we don’t even realize it yet. We are all aging in real time and what we perceive as “young” or even “not old” all lies in the perception of the beholder. This podcast brings experts and ideas into the forefront and hopefully will push for a change in current trends and practices. Really loving what you are putting out! Nice job team!

Great idea and well executed. Wish I could DM some equity.
