Irish Illustrated's Tim Prister, Tim O'Malley, and Drew Mentock break down Notre Dame's 49-10 win over Purdue. The trio discusses how dominant Notre Dame's defensive line looked against Purdue, applying pressure to an offense designed to drop back. Ryan Browne was expected to have a strong passing day against a dinged-up Irish secondary, but couldn't deliver on the expectations. Notre Dame's wide receivers continued to improve, as Micah Gilbert had a two-reception day for a game-high 83 yards, plus the game's first touchdown. Jordan Faison had a strong 66-yard performance and Jaden Greathouse even had a reception. As the passing attack largely had a great day (CJ Carr did have his first interception of the season), the ground game was a little lacking. Aneyas Williams did break Notre Dame's first 20-yard carry of the season and the Irish averaged 5.5 yards per carry but never saw it totally take over against the Boilermakers.
