The withdrawal of criminal charges on 14 April 2021 by the Director of Public Prosecutions against Logan City councillors could have implications for former and current Ipswich councillors who were also dismissed by the state government. Unlike Logan, most former Ipswich councillors weren’t charged with any criminal offences but still lost their jobs and reputations.
