Ipswich City Council backs bid for 2032 Olympic Games with detailed discussions held in secret

Ipswich City Council has formally backed the proposal to secure the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games in southeast Queensland, with the city likely to play a role as host for some sports. At a special meeting of council held on 15 April 2021 councillors unanimously supported three key recommendations.
