An inclusive, fascinating look at a portion of our history
I’m so glad I found this pod! I initially started listening because I was looking for information about Mary and William Brewster, who are my many-greats-grandparents. I was thrilled to discover that Interwoven includes contemporary and historical Native voices/lenses, because our Native communities a critical part of our history and future that are all too often excluded from the narrative. I will say that Goodnote speaks so fast that it’s pretty distracting; she’s clearly exceptionally smart, and I want to be able to focus on what she’s saying. Instead, I just find myself being baffled by the speed at which she speaks! It sounds like I’m listening at 2x. Beyond that minor irritation, though, this pod is a fascinating, inclusive, honest look at a portion of our North American history. They tell interesting stories, have brilliant scholars as guests, and help us weave together the first bits of our history as colonizers/settlers. Of course, North American history began long, long before the Mayflower set sail, but Interwoven gives us invaluable insights into the European settlers’ backgrounds and first experiences on this continent. Thank you for bringing us his history!

I recently discovered this Podcast and I’m enjoying it very much.
After just a few minutes of listening you will realize that the interviewer and interviewees are all experts in the subject matter and they know how to clearly communicate their expertise in a very thoughtful, and entertaining, way.
