As an Aussie living abroad, I’ve missed seeing/hearing Andrew Denton’s interviews. Even when I still have a fleeting doubt about the interviewee and whether I’d find them interesting, I now know to just always listen regardless. There is good reason Denton is legendary for his interviews- he brings humor, empathy, and humanity at appropriate times; he challenges and digs deeper when needed; he treats his guests with utmost respect; and his genuine interest in understanding a person and hearing their stories always shines through. I’ve especially loved his commentary in the podcast and hearing a little about his process and what happens behind the scenes before, during and post show.
