Intersections on the Spectrum
The Intersections on the Spectrum podcast is the brainchild of Doug Blecher and Kelly Bron Johnson, created to discuss intersectional issues within the autistic community, and give visibility to commonly marginalized, repressed, underrepresented, or erased identities and issues. We aim to introduce you to the people and stories you didn’t know about, but needed to hear, and hope that seeing yourself represented in the community, allows you to feel seen.

In this episode of a podcast, Doug Blecher and Kelly Bron Johnson discuss their experiences with grief. Doug shares that he recently lost his mother and has been finding it difficult to cope. He mentions that reading about grief and researching other people's experiences has been helpful for him. Kelly talks about her own experiences with grief, including the death of her father, and how it affected her emotionally and physically. They discuss the importance of allowing oneself to feel and express grief, as well as the challenges of navigating social interactions and support from others. They also talk about finding joy and creating new rituals in the midst of grief.
