How Do You Become A Doctor?
Paul Soden graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Health, and Society from Cornell University, where he was a Merrill Presidential Scholar, the President of the Golden Key Honour Society and co-Secretary of the Dean’s Advisory Council. At Cornell, Paul was awarded the Alan D. Mathios Grant to develop a novel organ-on-a-chip model of the Glymphatic system. Paul has also performed collaborative research on glioblastoma, autism spectrum disorder, and reproductive immunology. Paul is currently a research assistant in the Lehtinen lab at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he studies the neuroendocrine properties of cerebrospinal fluid. In this episode, Paul discusses his passion for neuroscience, maternal/fetal medicine, and public health and his desire to pursue a career in pediatric neurosurgery.
