Dr. Fisher-Hickman has over twenty years of conducting historical and genealogical research, teaching experience, and expertise in community projects, Public History, secondary and post-secondary education in the African American community. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Master of Arts Degree in Public History with a concentration in African American history, community studies, and oral history from Howard University. She also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Leadership in Educational Administration (Ph.D.) from Capella University. Her dissertation dealt with adjudicated students' school achievement in secondary education, transformational leadership and the congressional act, No Child Left Behind Act.
