If you want to listen to a podcast that sounds like AI is reading scripts this is the podcast for you! The voice is dull boring almost to the point of putting you to sleep. Worst I have ever heard

Great words that can help with Everyday Life.. the voice of the narrator is a great addition to the reading. His voice brings a sense of confidence and wisdom to the audience.. keep it going 💪

I used to love this podcast a few years ago, but the narrator sounds super weird now. Not sure what changed, but it’s hard to listen to now : (

I’m so sad and disappointed at the drastic change in narration and quality. The original narrator was amazing, and he gave life to the literature. The current one, very sterile. I mostly just listen to the early episodes now.

I see a lot of people complain about the voice and tone of the narrator, if you can get pass that cosmetic aspect, then you can appreciate the insight of the content and the surprisingly relevance the material has in today’s world, even though many of the stories had been originally published in the early 1900’s. Lesson to learn people, don’t judge the book by the paper and font but by it’s content.

The message is good but the tone and cadence of the voice is distracting and annoying. I went to the reviews and it seems like this is a common comment. I wonder why the author of the podcast doesn’t take this into consideration and adjust to a better sounding cadence and tone? Reading the positive reviews that ignore the voice seem to be fake to boost the ratings. It’s so obvious. I’d look forward to listening to the podcast with a voice adjustment. I’m listening right now while writing this review and I’m falling asleep by the cadence. One thing I do find positive is that the episodes are short so I can listen to one while getting dressed for work in the morning. I want to encourage you to adjust the voice so it’s a more comfortable listen .

I laugh a little when I hear the voice that reads to me . I can appreciate theThoroughness of the words that are spoken. Beautiful knowledge that can be applied to every day living. I’m starting on episode one I’ve already listened to 40 episodes. Don’t focus on The Voice focus on the message that’s why you’re listening. Happy listening. happy learning.💝

To the people who are complaining about the "computer": I get it,It was originally offputting to me as well. However, imbued in this continent is a lot of love, meaning and inspiration.While the delivery is monotonous, I now focus on the content, which is rich and deep. It is the way I start my day and his proving to be a fantastic "first step" for me.I now have no issues with a voice and I really appreciate the human behind the message. So I would suggest for those who are truly looking for inspiration that is well-researched and incredibly well-written, to bear with it for an episode or two and see if the fruits of the podcast override your issues with the voice. The episode in Fear and Worry alone is a game changer. As somebody who has worried his whole life this is enough to make me go Worry sober!

I’m sorry, I just can’t get over the computer voice. Kills any emotion or benefit I get from the words/content which may be good but the cadence of the speech, I just hear Ben Stein from the dry eyes commercial.

The messages are great. The content is so important. But the narration is horrible.

The podcast has good topics. However I feel like the host is drunk every episode. He is sluggish and slurring his words.

Horrible to listen to. Automated, robotic, presented in an un-inspirational matter. Not to recommend. Unsubscribed.

I have been listening for three years & loved this podcast. Then suddenly it changed — The lea became loud commercials & The wonderful narrator became computerized? What happened?!

Disappointed as the content seems great, but the voice sounds computer-generated and monotone. I really tried to listen but couldn’t get past the robotic voice as it was so distracting and the audio just detracts from its message.

The contents of this podcast is so appealing to me but I cannot listen to the narrator. His inflections sounds like a computer program.

I don’t think the current ratings do this podcast any justice. I don’t miss an episode and am frequently returning to previous episodes to start replaying hours of old wisdom. The tone is simple and doesn’t stray from what one comes here looking for. Motivation, wisdom, different perspective. I appreciate the work that is done with this podcast to get these messages out. I enjoy hearing what the source is and from what year it was, although what is read is generally universal throughout generations. Thank you so much for your work and time spent to consistently get these episodes out, don’t stop doing what you’re doing! It truly makes a difference in my life.

I like to listen to podcasts while walking and I found you by chance, what can I say I immediately felt at peace in knowing these were advices from a century ago that still pertain to today's life. Values, morality, desire to do better and being good human beings would never go out of fashion, thank you for bringing this reminder and awareness to today's life!

We enjoy the age old truths that still persist. There are so many things to do to enhance our lives, and to hear these readings is the beginning of enlightenment. I think there is plenty of time tested formulas for successful living in this podcast

Great app

I absolutely love this Podcast. If you can get past the mundane delivery, you’ll likely find the content beyond inspirational, it’s spiritually lifting. In fact, because the voice is not gimmicky and not trying to entertain, it inspired in me a deeper level of introspection than many messages delivered by a charismatic speaker. Two thumbs up for me!

This really could be a great podcast, but the readers voice sounds robotic and has no prosodic features of language making it extremely difficult to listen to. Just can’t do it. Disappointed because the topics are fantastic!

This sounds like a great podcast with great things to offer and potential, and I’d like to get on board; however I can’t listen to something that I only hear talking from in my right ear, and music in my left. It’s actually kind of distracting.

Absolutely LOVE the wisdom shared in this podcast. I’ve read some complaints about the monotonous way it’s spoken. In my opinion, it could use a little more expression but I would not suggest for it to change to so many of the high energy, upbeat speakers out there today. I can absorb wisdom much better when it’s softly spoken.

The sound needs to change. Topic ideas are good but couldn’t even listen to 30 seconds of a podcast because the sound is so dry. Other more up beat podcasts out there.

I really wanted to like this podcast. The topics are great and from what I can tell the content appears to be good. The huge, huge issue is...as others have said...if this is to really be inspirational it needs to have another narrator. The current narrator's voice is the antithesis of inspirational. It contradicts the messages attempting to be conveyed. Very slow, dry, monotone, low, non-emotional, kind of depressing. I found it very hard to focus on what he was saying. If the creator of the podcast is also the narrator, I appreciate what you are trying to do as it is a great idea and a lot of great content, but please get a new narrator.

A really good podcast pays attention to EVERY component of it's production. This one falls mightily short in sound, voice output, which is the top two components in my opinion, since this is only audio. The voice is robotic, slurred, and speed is reduced by at least -1.25, you know, the 🐢 turtle icon typically seen in audio speed adjustments. The third component, content, is very hard to even be "heard" because of the sound quality mentioned above. I see from other posts of complaints that it's not my device. This caused me to skip the "subscribe" button.

This Podcast has literally changed my life. Been listening in for years! I appreciate your work and Knowledge!

I’d love to listen, but good grief the voice of the narrator makes my ears bleed!!!

I took notes in my notes app while listening, I loved it now I can refer without going back. I request using 1.5 speed because you may like me get a little distracted or bored but at the faster speed it worked can’t wait to listen to more. 👍🏻

His voice is just painful, at any speed..content is ok but can’t get past the mundaneness & monotone ..ugh

The voice to me sounds like Microsoft’s Sam Reading it to me. Not relaxing, to me at all

Such insight on life and work. You are helping me tremendously in my life. I love your voice. I am hypnotized. You are helping me you move onward and upward.

I solved the problem with the difficulty I had listening to the speech by turning up the speed to 1.5 times normal speed. It allowed me to hear the message without becoming distracted by the odd speed and diction used. Now I can concentrate on the message.

Excellent and thought provoking. However, the way the material is read and how the words are pronounced in the most recent podcasts is very odd and hard to listen to. Sounds more like a robot than a human at times. I hope this changes because I enjoy the content!

If you listen to the episodes from 2015, you’ll notice a stark difference in audio quality compared to the most recent episodes. Please fix audio quality bc this is a great podcast!

Upon listening to these, I feel energized and powerful, like I can accomplish anything. His voice is at the same time very soothing. These are great podcasts.
