I appreciate the real content!
I love the episodes that highlight the difficulties that people face and the psychology behind spending. I love all the co-hosts but I especially love the episodes with Erica since I identify most with her as someone to whom this stuff doesn’t come naturally.

Thanks for the great content! This is my favorite podcast to learn more about that true transition from preparing for FI to actually taking the leap.

FI friends
Longtime listener. Started with Friends on Fire and continue until the present. This podcast keeps getting better and is a great resource to fuel my FI plans.

Love you guys - if only we were real life friends
I’m a “work optional” single mom in my 40s of an elementary schooler and I feel like you guys are my wishful imaginary friends. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got great family/friends and acquaintances but none that want to chat about the variety of topics you cover with this kinda vibe - no matter how much I try. It would be a dream for me if I did. If you ever want a random fan to chat with, I’m in. I’ll reach out via text too. Btw, this is the first rating and review I’ve ever posted for a podcast. That’s saying something! Keep it up! Love y’all!

Helps with my Sunday scaries
Maggie and the co hosts feel like my older siblings talking to me in a very caring/non judgmental way. I also like that the episodes go up on Sunday nights when I’m feeling the Sunday scaries the most. Thanks, Maggie and team! I appreciate your efforts so much.

Awesome FI podcast
Fired 6 years ago and this is one of the few FI podcast I still listen to. Love the open dialogue and different perspectives of the rotating co-hosts.

Great content, love the show!
I especially love that there are no ads. It really brings more of a sense of legitimacy on the subject of money to know the show isn’t there just to profit from listeners tuning into clickbait topics, but actually has your well-being in mind. Thank you for your service Maggie!

Hands-down, the best personal finance podcast out there
I listen to inside out money every week. It is my favorite podcast because it’s always interesting and makes you think outside of the box. I’m really glad that it exists because it feels like they’re so many things pushing you to buy things or keep up with the Joneses and this podcast helps me stay focused on things that are important to me.

Every week listen
Highly recommend LOVE listening to Maggie and her guests on my commute for practical ideas and financial concepts. I often feel like she and Liz are my girlfriends sitting around the table… They just happen to be in my car.

Education and Entertainment!
So thankful for people who approach finance with kindness, empathy and truth! I love how relatable this podcast is. I work in the financial services industry and so often educational material is so dry and unreachable for the average person. This podcast brings education in a relatable and informative way! I love it so so much.

So real
I stumbled upon this podcast and I love it! I appreciate the honesty and the real life scenarios for spending, saving etc. I especially appreciated the topics that deal with expenses and spending. It’s almost impossible to find money a podcast that gives actual numbers and categories. As a recent retiree, I found that to be so helpful. Thanks!! Keep it up!

Digs deep into frugality mindset
Many financial podcasts focus only on the technical methods of saving, investing, and planning for retirement. Maggie and her co-hosts excel at picking apart the thought process. As the host has children, the topic of how to impart financial wisdom on the children in an age appropriate way is visited as well. Saving, retiring, and spending with intention all swirl around lifestyle choices and bringing the entire household on board with the goals. The discussion is engaging and entertaining while being informative- a spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down. I listen with my pre-teen child and have recommended this podcast to friends who find the typical financial podcast too dry to listen to.

Vulnerable and genuine FI podcast
I like episode 151 and Andrew been vulnerable about how to invest the dollars. There is a lot of theory podcast but not many of actual examples rather than hypothetical. Also, I liked the episode (147-148) where Greg talked about how he is trying to figure out early retirement, very genuine. I really like expense review episodes as well. Thanks

Fun and relatable
I’ve been bingeing this on my commute for the past couple months from the first episode. I found myself here after Maggie appeared on another financial podcast and I liked her style. Love the conversations with the co-hosts and hearing the different perspectives. The amount of care and passion Maggie and the others have for the content and for each other really shines. I also appreciate the shout outs at the end of the long and rambling episodes. I feel like I’m doing a good thing by sticking around for the banter. What a time to be alive!

Great podcast!
This has quickly become one of my favorite financial podcasts. I love all the hosts but especially Maggie and Liz episodes. Those always make me laugh and make me feel like I just talked with friends. Keep up the great content! Would love to hear how you guys handle shifting back into your values when you find yourself experiencing life style creep / keeping up with the Joneses.

the best personal finance show (period)
I listen to many shows about money, and this is my very favorite. It strikes that perfect balance between informative and fun. Maggie is genuine and thoughtful, and her co-costs each bring unique insights to the show (I used to have my favorites, but now I love them all equally, which I think says something about their true contributions and fun personalities!). Come for the money tips; stay for the weird and comforting feeling that these are your friends.

A Great Find
I recently discovered this podcast and have really been enjoying it. I’m going back and listening from the beginning—it’s been a great listen. Thank you for all the work you put into creating it! So great to listen to the different perspectives and life experiences.

The Quiet Part
Maggie just wanted to thank you for saying the Quiet Part Out Loud. As a Puerto Rican brown skinned citizen of the USA , I for the first time in my life feel unsafe in my beloved country. My hubby is a U.S. Army Veteran who served with dignity and honor. In 2025, we began voting with our dolors thanks to Scott Galloway and now you. I’m sure these companies will miss each and every penny especially when at Target a monthly drop was $1,000 a month. Keep speaking truth! Love you, M

This hosting crew has a delightful mix of personalities and interests, which brings a fresh feel each week as Maggie and the crew discuss a wide variety of financial and finance-adjacent topics. Special shoutout to the rabbit hole episodes with Liz.

Binge-worthy Wisdom
I discovered Inside Out Money after hearing Maggie on ChooseFI, decided to try one episode and immediately fell down the rabbit hole. I binged the entire show through the holiday season - am now current, and a little sad I don’t have a backlog anymore. (Not to worry… I’m headed to Liz Gets Loaded next.) What makes this pod great is how relatable it is. Maggie and the other cohosts share their financial journeys with such honesty and humor that it feels like listening to friends who get it. They cover a variety of content from FIRE to stoicism to generally doing life well. I especially love the expense reviews and annual wrap ups. It’s a perfect blend of practical, reflective and real. This show has been with me on commutes, walks, chores and even budgeting work. Thanks to Maggie, Greg (keep coming on Greg), Erica, Andrew and Liz for creating such thoughtful, encouraging content. I’m so glad I found this podcast.

The BEST
Writing this with a guilty conscience as I’m 60 episodes into my binge from the beginning and I’ve been rocking the fan club sticker for weeks on my water bottle. I’m so happy I found this podcast. I like a lot of podcasts, but this is the most relatable, binge-able one I’ve ever stumbled upon, or it’s like true love — found it at just the right time and place. So if you, like me, happen to be slogging through the next 502 weekdays to early retirement, and need some motivation on your 3-4 hour commute, AND love travel, travel-hacking-lite, Aldi, thrift stores, Libby, a little real estate side hustle, eating leftovers, tracking your spend on Monarch, and are motivated to save by the thought of buying more time with your kids…this one’s for you. Thanks Maggie and friends for the awesome content, I’ve never laughed out loud so many times by myself in my car.

Great financial podcast
I really am enjoying this podcast. Maggie and the co-hosts cover a wonderful range of topics. I regularly laugh out loud (especially on the episodes with Liz) and enjoy the thoughtful reminders about the meaning of money. Needs more Greg (cowbell).

One of my new favorite podcasts
I recently listened to Maggie as a guest on the ChooseFI podcast. Loved the episode so I checked out her own podcast and it’s fantastic. I really enjoy listening to her and all of her cohosts. All the episodes I’ve listened to are packed with substance and everyone is insightful and enjoyable to listen to.

Next level
I first found Maggie with Friends on FIRE, and just finished the series. I was initially so sad that it was ending but 5 episodes into IOM and it may be even better. Thank you for carrying on with teaching the rest of us about personal finance and helping us kick our financial planners

Funny, Wise, Actionable
This podcast is the biggest gift in my life. Thank you, Maggie, Liz, Andrew, Erica and Greg! Each co-host is incredibly inspirational in their own way - as consumers, as financial decision makers and as human beings. I appreciate how philosophical their discussions get - because spending money really is a lot deeper than we realize. They have so many helpful tips and nuggets of wisdom that have directly changed my behavior - for example, episode 118 delved into the false claim that more expensive is always better, and it directly altered how I shopped for a replacement entryway mat. I am inspired by these impressive, self-taught powerhouses and am grateful that Maggie has pledged to keep it ad free as the cherry on top. Thank you for adding so much value to my life.

Excellent vibe to this show.
I recently discovered Inside Out Money and I really like it. Maggie and her cohosts have a very conversational tone and open up their own lives to the listener. This makes it interesting and relatable. I am 55 and will be retiring in a few months, and I have especially liked following Maggie and Greg’s journey.

Duck please?
Loved this week’s episode and am thinking about ways to get that dopamine hit without spending money. I love to travel and I love planning trips so sometimes I sit and look up places I am interested in visiting to learn more about them, find places to stay, and look up restaurants. Not only does this give me that dopamine boost, it also renews my resolve to save for travel instead of making impulse purchases. Also, I really want an Inside Out Money duck. Can we please make this happen? Laura

Listening to the pod feels like hanging out with old friends, except all those friends wanna do is talk about fiscal responsibility. As a discerning podcast listener, I wholeheartedly endorse their method of imparting useful info in a relaxed and judgement free way. Keep up the great work!

My favorite money talk podcast!
Maggie and her rotating guest hosts have engaging, fun, and relatable conversations about money each week. As a FI early retiree, I've found many topics that I can apply to my own financial journey. The recent 2025 mid-year financial review was an exceptional episode. I love the vulnerability from the hosts to share an discuss their expenses, even when they might be on the high side. It's comforting to know that not everything comes out smelling like a rose, like you might see on social media platforms. The shows topics range range and are inclusive for a wide range of people on a financial independence journey. Thanks you so much for this great podcast.

If you loved Friends on FIRE, you’ll totally vibe with Inside Out Money. Maggie brings the same real talk and relatable style, and continues diving deeper into the why behind our money habits. My favorite podcast!
I love this podcast. Maggie is such a thoughtful and friendly and funny and insightful host. I enjoy listening when I take my dog for walks - it’s like listening to a motivating group of friends who actually want to talk about finances and have interesting perspectives and who are open in a way that is so helpful. I also really enjoy all the topics that get into minimalism, mindfulness, stoicism, and generally being intentional about building a good life for yourself. The co-hosts keep it fun as well and seem like a great group all with their own insights and tips. It’s also so inspiring and interesting to hear about Maggie’s FIRE journey. Love love love!!!

Love all the insights from this show!
I like to listen while I clean the house, do the laundry or fold, do the dishes, so as a good finance oriented mind, I feel so productive to learn and listen to Maggie and her cohosts. Thanks Maggie for all that you do. And Andrew, Liz and Erica. Greg’s appearance is also great. Maggie often goes out of topic but it’s been fun to hear the cohosts bring her back to it lol. All around great and highly recommend if you like listening to personal finance tips and thoughts.

Love this podcast
I’ve been listening since this podcast first came out. The podcast is less structured than some other financial podcasts and the hosts sometimes get goofy, but the financial topics are always thoughtful. Listening to the podcast makes you feel like you’re sitting with a great group of friends - the type that you’ve known forever, share values with and are close enough to to talk about financial topics that might be “taboo”. To the hosts - shoutout from a fellow ATLien, thank you for taking the time to put this podcast together!

Good topics fun people
I’ve listened to almost all episodes & enjoy all the cohosts for a variety of reasons. Money topics are diverse & relatable. Love how Andrew can keep the topic focused while Liz & Maggie can push the boundaries of information with their fun tangents. It’s also clear Maggie & Greg are a great team together tackling all sorts of money/family topics. Looking forward to the next 100 episodes.

🔥🔥🔥
Been listening since this was the Friends on Fire pod! It was great then and it’s still great now. Maggie is extremely knowledgeable about FIRE, money mgmt (and honestly just seeing how she stewards her life, health, family, etc is inspiring) and the episodes always share valuable info that we can take actionable steps on in a short period of time. Maggie’s earnestness to share what she knows with others is palpable and her willingness to engage even off the pod is noted and appreciated!!!
