For over 150 years, the federal government has been collecting decommissioned military equipment in one form or another. As our armed forces continue to evolve, the collection will also continue to grow. Those interested can visit the individual sections at various locations in Switzerland. In Dübendorf – next to the airfield – the Foundation for Historic Equipment of the Swiss Air Force showcases the history of aviation in the armed forces. The items on display are close enough to touch. Some of them have even been brought back to life.
