One Nation were also handed seats by the Liberal Party, with One Nation currently having 2 seats in the upper house. The main takeaway of this election is that this election needs to be paid attention to, as One Nation is not going away; with their ideas and funds helping them poll and possibly become the new major opposition at the next federal election. We revisit the ongoing war in Iran, as the US & Israel Government continue their attacks. Here in Australia, one of the run-on effects of this conflict is the rise in fuel prices. US & Israeli forces continue their attack on Iran, as Iranian counter-attacks continue. US President Donald Trump has said that the war will end soon, but members of communities all over the world are still seeing a spike in oil and fuel prices, with no relief in sight. Both sides are digging their heels in, as Israel continues to launch raids against Lebanon. We’re going to hear from Dan Elias Andreas, as he delivers a more community focused viewpoint on the ongoing war, as they join us to discuss their new anti-war collective. We also discuss the recent change of laws regarding Palestine in Queensland. The sayings, “From The River To The Sea” and “Globalise The Intifada”, have been banned by the Queensland Government. Recently we saw a young woman arrested for wearing a t-shirt with the phrase “From The River To The Sea” We’re joined by Subhi Awad a spokesperson for Justice for Palestine Magan-Djib, to discuss the laws. There was a major development overnight, as a new Iranian Supreme Leader was elected. Mojtaba Khamenei, has been elected the new Supreme Leader of Iran. Mojtaba is son to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the previous Supreme Leader of Iran, who was killed in US–Israeli strikes. The reactions around the appointment of Iran’s new Supreme Leader, has been met with mixed feedback from both US and Israel government officials. In particularly, Israel’s defence minister, Israel Katz, said that ‘whoever was chosen as Ali Khamenei’s successor would be “an unequivocal target for elimination”. Murray Watt, Federal Environment & Water Minister, has granted Alcoa a national interest exemption, allowing them to continue mining for another 18 months. Matt Roberts, Executive Director of the Conservation Council WA, joins the show to discuss this ongoing situation. We’ll also discuss Project Valhalla, the gas fracking project in the Kimberley region by Black Mountain Energy’s subsidiary, Bennett Resources.
