In The Weeds is a combined podcast and vlog series created by San Diego-based idea agency ONEDAY. The expression “In The Weeds” is a common phrase used by employees of the hospitality industry when they are slammed during a shift at work. It’s a way of letting the people around them know, “I’m buried right now.” We think today’s generation can relate very closely to this feeling. But unfortunately, the majority of what’s being shared on social media is the finish line, not the race. There’s no trace of the struggle, the work, or the discipline it took to get OUT of the weeds and into the clear. We want to show that struggle. We want to document the work.
