You have to admit that a podcast that makes me think, makes me rejoice, and usually makes me laugh is a great investment of time and attention.

Led by the Holy Spirit
This Spirit-infused ministry keeps my heart centered in Jesus and in the Father’s loving heart, full of truth and grace beyond our wildest hopes and imagining. God is present in these podcasts, encouraging, challenging, and keeping His peace in my heart and soul and mind. These weekly sessions speak Joy in the midst of the weary struggle with sin and and reminds me of the prayer and the longing to lose myself in finding our Lord in His stillness and simplicity. Thanks be to God for all who are doing his work In the Studio.

What a blessing this podcast is!
I’ve listened to Michael Card since I became a Christian in the early 1980’s and God used his music to inspire me to study His Word because of the beautiful pictures I saw in Michael’s music! Thank you Michael! Thank you Jesus!

Give me oil in my lamp
This show is a great combination of music and teaching and conversation. It is all good! I do not think I’m guilty of coldly mouthing the words at a once a week observance, but I do have a mind that is prone to wander. This podcast gives me things to think about that are true and noble and right and pure and lovely. Thank you! PS- thank you also for coming to Maryville this summer to help us honor Pastor Jerry. It was a fun time, but being introduced to your podcast is the gift that keeps on giving. Plus I am finding a whole world of opportunity to show kindness related to shopping carts at the grocery store or Walmart/ Target ;)

I always learn something….
I am a 30+ year listener to Michael’s music, a decade+ reader of Michael’s books, and a years-long listener to the podcast. Sometimes when the podcast first starts I think, “oh, maybe I’ll listen to something else because this sounds familiar…” BUT I keep listening and I *always* learn something new —- it might be small or big, but it’s impactful and sends me looking for my pen and notebook to write it down.

What encouragement❣️
Wow!! Is the Lord on the move or what?!?! Thank you all for being faithful in calling the church back onto the original path - - not telling the broken to come join us in our cathedral but us going to the broken in their broken world. Praises to Father who has inspired you to not only speak His word, but by making it relevant to the here and now; like how He is using ordinary people in an extraordinary way with something as old as prostitution. Praises to Him who is Blessing Faith’s Children’s Home, and the Sparrow’s Nest project for His Name’s sake!! For those who’s hearts are pulled closer to Him by music, Amazing Grace over 🎼ByFor🎶 May Father God and Son Jesus, through their Spirit continue to use each of you to herald His invitation to draw closer the the lover of our soul and be about His Business. May the Spirit of the Living God be your Banner of protection as you call His children into His deeper action for His purpose.

Food for the soul
I first encountered the music of Michael Card in college shortly after becoming a Christian, and was immediately struck by the realization that music, apart from stirring the emotions, could also be a tool for teaching and discipleship. I've been a fan ever since, listening to his music, reading his books, and attending conferences and retreats where his teaching gifts are on display in ways that are deep and edifying. Those same gifts are reflected in this podcast, and it feeds my soul every time I listen. Most of all there is a deep love for Jesus and for Scripture that saturates every recorded moment. Between wonderful conversations, reflections on God's word, and music that feeds both the heart and the mind...I cannot recommend "In The Studio With Michael Card" enough.

My favorite podcast.
I can remember that long before iTunes and Spotify podcasts, I used to listen to Michael’s “In the Studio” conversations with Wayne on the internet. They were such a blessing then, but they’ve become part of my weekly rhythm. I’m blessed to take a 2-3 mile walk with my Siberian Husky every Saturday morning in one of our County parks. During that time, I plug in my AirPods and listen to this week’s At the Table podcast. It’s one of the highpoint of my weekends and goes a long way to introduce me to new people and new concepts from God’s Word. One of my favorite podcasts was published in June titled Perspectives on Israel. I always find myself listening to the whole podcast, and then find myself coming back and registering to the final 15 minutes or so, as Joe Carlson describes the impact that his experience in Israel and the Sea of Galilee had on him, followed by a special time with Sarah and Nate Pertain. I’ve searched for the song that Nate and Sarah sang a song titled: I won’t let you go. I would love for Michael to sing it sometime. Again, I’m blessed by the investment you’ve made to record these conversations. Thanks go to Michael, Wayne, Joe, and all your guests for making such an impact on my life! Like a friend
Did you ever wish you had a friend who was smart, creative, talented, and accomplished that you could both learn from and enjoy? But, what if he were also humble and approachable and had a gentle humor that helped you feel welcome and put you at ease? On top of all that, what if he were a Christian and rather than that making him seem divisive or judgmental, he came across as a fellow struggler and learner on the journey called Life? All that is what this podcast feels like for me. We get to “sit in” on conversations and music, deep thoughts and laughter, with a seasoned musician and writer and follower of Jesus. Pull up a chair, and a cup of coffee or tea or a beer, and enjoy the time. You won’t regret it.

Wisdom and Beauty
Thank you for putting so much thought and care into the construction of today’s show...as you do with them all. Michael has a gentle yet firm way of presenting the unrelenting truth of the Father’s hesed and the uncompromising grace of Jesus’ heart. Your ministry is a tool that God uses in my life to bring his true image into a clearer and more vivid picture.

Excellent!
I LOVE the way this is set up. I feel like I get a little bit of everything: Great Bible teaching, Community, Creativity. It almost feels like sitting in someone’s living room. I have been challenged, convicted, and encouraged. In today’s climate it is refreshing to escape to God’s Word and be encouraged by the faith, wisdom and stories of others.

Biblical Imagination and a Great Radio Show!
The Lord got a hold of my heart recently, while attending one of Michael’s Biblical Imagination conferences in October of 2019. This was the 2nd time that I “re-dedicated” my life to our Savior since coming to faith in 1987. I found this podcast the day after the conference ended, and have been listening and re-listening to every archived episode (while keeping up with the “new” ones) ever since. I purchased notebooks and have been keeping careful notes on each episode because the Lord has been using them to thoroughly encourage me and help me see area in my life that He wants me to change (I even write down the names of each song that is featured and surround them with doodles of music notes). I also picked up several of Michael Card’s books and made it a goal to complete them (along with other books by other authors) before the end of the year, including The Walk which I have finished and intend to re-read and A Sacred Sorrow which I intend to re-read! God is faithful. He is good! I am thankful for the many things that God has used over the past year to correct me. Michael Card’s ministry is just one of those things. This podcast is special to me and I will continue to listen as long as Michael Card and Wayne Shepherd continue to make this podcast happen. They are both often in my prayers. There isn’t an episode that I have not enjoyed, and I have not heard a Michael Card song that I do not love! I picked up Unveiled Hope in 1998 but other than that, his music has all been pretty new to me and my new favorite music! I hope he releases something with these studio recordings because they sound so different. There was an episode where he sang Holy Holy Holy (the hymn) A Capella (I think it was recorded in Israel). I would love to have a copy of that recording to listen to along with all of the other Michael Card music that I have collected in this past year! Thank you for your ministry!

Worth-ship
I have been listening almost daily to “InThe Studio with Michael Card” and his guests, having discovered the podcast late in the game. Michael’s teaching, that of his guests, as well as guests sharing their lives, and the thought-provoking teaching and worship music draws me to Christ with every program, envelopes me in His hesed, and leads me to worship Him in truth. Michael’s on-air teaching, as well as his book on the hesed of God, have led me to love an enemy within my family...only by Gods grace! I have been a hearer of Michael’s music for many years, as well as a reader of his books, and have been privileged to attend a few of his conferences. His book A Sacred Sorrow opened a whole new song in my heart and a deeper relationship with God and worship of Him. I can say without reservation that my understanding of Christ and His word, and my walk with Him would not be the same were it not for this humble servant of God. Having taught the Bible all of my adult life, I am heading into a new ministry as a Chaplain in public schools. God is using Michael’s ministry to prepare me for this daunting work. Thank you for your faithfulness, Michael! My thanks to all who make these podcasts possible! My only sadness is that now that I am caught up on the programs available, I will miss out on the other 6 days-a-week until a new program is broadcast! But then, there is always re-listening, re-hearing, and re-applying! Thank you. Be assured of my prayers for you and your family. Christine

How great! Who knew?!?
In The Studio with a Michael Card has been a great find for me. Who knew just anybody could get to hang with Michael and his friends while learning more about God, the unfathomably kind? In addition to being such a gifted musician, prolific author, and communicator, Michael is such a friendly, funny, humble guy that the podcast feels like being in the room with Michael and some equally fascinating friends. Don’t miss it. Roger Pittsburgh, PA, USA

So rich!!
Thank you for doing this podcast! Nearly each episode - okay, let’s just go ahead and say EVERY episode - has something in it that brings me to tears in that deep, Holy Spirit-stirring sort of way, and it leaves a mark. Michael’s music has been so formative throughout my life, and I absolutely love listening to this now, as well. What another great season for Michael, and I’m glad to be one of the many benefiting from it (and the family and friends I keep sharing links with)!!
