Episode 485: In The Seats With....Karen Wookey, Andrea Constand and 'The Case Against Cosby'
We have to tell stories collectively, so we can collectively learn from them.On this episode we look into a story that has been ripped from the headlines and how we need to learn, listen and redefine the face of evil that can be around every corner out there.  Streaming now on CBC Gem, it's time for 'The Case Against Cosby'.With over 60 women filling complaints against Bill Cosby for sexual assault, only one has successfully gain a conviction in this matter.  Her name is Andrea Constand and this is her story of survival. It could have been easy to make this into a half hearted true crime story but it's about more then that.  What director Karen Wookey does here is not only allow us a greater understanding of the trauma of these crimes and the women that have been affected but also of the necessity to really make audiences listen and understand the need to redefine that classic image of a predator that we all have in our heads.  The reality is that these predators look like any of us and they are everywhere.I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking with both Karen and Andrea about the importance of making this film, the hope of awareness that it can bring others and so very much more....
