Thank you!!
I had to listen to these farewell episodes alone because I was afraid I’d cry. Your podcast was a huge source of comfort and information at a bleak time. You managed to be positive and optimistic while also honest. I learned a lot and always finished episodes feeling energized. Thank you thank you Andy and company for this service you provided. I will miss your voice, but understand why you’re signing off now. Much love and appreciation from this Minnesota physician

I have been here since the beginning and cannot express how much I have leaned from this pod. Andy is a kind, thoughtful, fair and an incredibly accomplished human. Well done.

Very informative podcast.
Really enjoy this podcast and the host. Andy is a great interviewer. He knows the questions to ask to breakdown a topic so listeners can learn from the expert.

Great Show
I learn so much from listening to this show. The recent episode about blue zones was both informative and brought hope that we don’t have to live this way and communities are proving that. Thank you!

Used to really enjoy this show
Used to enjoy this show until Andy became a Covid minimizer. Even with a son who has (had?) long Covid, he still isn’t advocating for true & just public health. Masks should be worn in healthcare settings. Full stop. Covid is still killing & debilitating people. Sad Andy lost his way. Unfollowing/unsubscribing now.

Propaganda
Loads of terrible misinformation and irresponsible commentary from the CDC director. If you have a close relationship with someone that makes it impossible to question them thoroughly , you shouldnt do the interview. Ps. You need to do multiple rapid tests to confirm its not covid. Not just one. You AND Mandy should have emphasized that when you talked about your summer flu and scratchy sick voice. One negative rapid isnt “not covid”.

This episode resonates with me. I am a white person who is poor financially. I have set my life up so I don’t feel poor. I live in a beautiful place and my husband and I live very frugally. Hard to explain in a short letter. We live with solar energy and many techniques to save money. I laughed a little when the 08/09 housing crash happened and there were stories on how to live with less. We had been living that way for many years. We don’t eat out all the time or buy expensive clothes etc. same with the pandemic, our lifestyle was affected but not like most people. The main issues are medical/insurance, gas/car expenses, and of course food. We can eat cheaply but even the price of rice has gone up. I would be a cripple if I didn’t have the ACA and was able to have my hip and knee replaced when I needed it. Then I would have been a full drain on society’s resources forever. Talk about depression. But to stay on Medicaid is very stressful and the system is set up so I can’t work too much or I’ll lose it. If I work more, then all the extra money goes to pay for the expenses incurred from not being on Medicaid. 🙃 Recently you did a show on taking down the drug cartels. Important for sure but the problem of drug abuse will never be solved that way and we spend so much money trying to eliminate the supply when we need to spend most of that money on the demand side. Let’s get creative, education education education. How about good rehab for people who aren’t rich. How about job training right out oh high school. Put money in someone’s pocket and self esteem from earning it and they won’t have time and desire to be high all day. It’s not rocket science but you have to convince people to want to help people in need. I have much more to say but the frustration rises as I talk about these things. Thank you Andy for your show. I have listened to every one and appreciate all the work you do Rosemary Wentzell

I love the episodes with medical experts
I love these episodes. I learn a great deal and confirm my understanding on the pandemic. You have been my go to source. I still want to know when those of us at high risk can get another booster.

Great insights
Andy has great guests and cuts to the chase—what can we/individuals do? He breaks complex issues down into manageable and actionable pieces. I’ve been listening since early Covid days (miss Zach:) and the transition to different (but challenging) issues has kept me tuning in!

I like this show
I've learned from every episode. Overall, I see I like all the lemonada shows for different reasons. How do we get my favorite pod "Community News with Paul and Sasha" to be part of your network. They are a. fun and funny show within a show and so unique. They have reached top 1 percent of all global podcasts on their own, no network, no PR, just home grown word of mouth. But they are my heroes for building their show grass roots and being on top one percent. Can you take a look at them and see if they can join your network or at least collab with your shows. They are such an original show and funny.

Apropos Crypto
Andy missed a chance to do more justice to the potential for blockchain technology and digital financial ecosystems… The conversation never really got off the ground, and was limited by his lack of openness due to the strength of his own bias and skepticism. Unfortunate. To have a fruitful conversation about the actual potential and utility of this new technology, please get Charles Hoskinson on the show and dig deep into the intricacies of its history, present state, the need for standards and good regulation, it’s utility and future potential. It amazes me how ‘important voices’ in media know so little about how much is actually going on in the ‘crypto industry’, and how the coverage or conversation falls so short of more useful content. Change is gradual, unfortunately! But the future is bright.

Need for greater focus?
Love Andy as an interviewer, and his COVID podcasts were essential listening. I understand the need to broaden out, as the “new news” on COVID becomes less frequent. But it feels as though the show now lacks any kind of organizing philosophy or premise - just “Andy interviews someone interesting in an interesting topic.” Which isn’t bad but doesn’t distinguish it from many other great podcasts. Maybe consider focusing on health issues? That is certainly a very rich area to mine in itself!

News podcast?
I started listening to this podcast during the height of the pandemic. I appreciated Andy’s informative, honest, yet reassuring approach to all things Covid. However, recent shows have been a disappointment. As someone who considers herself politically independent and tries to see all sides of the issues, I can say with some confidence that is not what you’ll find here. The show has taken a very left-leaning tone, which isn’t really surprising given Andy’s background. What’s disappointing to me is the constant vilification of anyone who doesn’t agree with his side of the aisle. If you want to be a news podcast, at least attempt to be a little balanced. Perhaps make space for those you don’t agree with and have a dialogue? You aren’t winning anyone over with the one-sided rhetoric.

My Go To In Search of Truth
Since this podcast began I’ve been listening because it’s been (first and foremost)truthful. In some of the scariest times I could come here for information and conversation but not inflammation! As the podcast went back to Andy’s voice it has continued to be informative and interesting as well as a bit funny and comforting too. I’ve been in the bubble for a long time and intend to remain here. Thank you for being here to provide a source of reason in a sometimes ridiculous world.

As an interviewer, Andy is A+
I really appreciate this podcast’s thoughtful, informative and caring tone. Andy’s gift is to make the guest feel comfortable, dig deep and at times poke the bear without being aggressive or mean. Refreshing. I also enjoy his humor and even his dad jokes. I highly recommend this podcast.

Assault the listeners, incomplete, and softball
Mr. Slavitt will use loud, high-pitch bleeps to edit out bad words, despite this being a podcast with no restrictions. Not welcome to those sensitive to those sounds, particularly when heard via headphones! He doesn’t have the courtesy to just mute out these words. Further , he rarely directly challenges guests, fails to point out their errors, and has even had guests say opposite points, even tough on the same “side,” without challenging the inconsistencies fully.

In the bubble with a Andy Slavitt
Mr. Slavitt I enjoy your podcast especially the ones that talk about Covid. I appreciate the medical community giving us helpful information on how to protect ourselves. Why didn’t you bring on substance abuse professionals to discuss the fentanyl problem? This has been a pet peeve of mine for a long time. The media very rarely contacts the people that save lives every day from alcohol and drug problems. Professional substance-abuse counselors and people in recovery have a first hand knowledge of this problem and could have provided a perspective that was missing from the conversation. It’s like talking about how to solve cancer without the oncologist giving their perspective. Do better.

Miss the old format!
I started listening to this podcast in the early days of the pandemic and I truly miss the old format of the show! It was unique and a place to stay current on all things related to covid. Branching into so many other areas made it less appealing for me.

Jews do Count
A great program as always Andy, but I find it inexplicable that in your entire discussion you didn’t deal with the explosion of incidents of hate crimes against Jews. Youreferred to the anti-defamation league when discussing percentages of crimes against different groups but didn’t mention their report on hate crimes against Jewish people and institutions. Jews do count, Andy.
