Enriching and Illuminating
This podcast is wonderful! While being shorter than the other podcasts put out by OnScript, each episode of InParallel is filled to the brim with wonderful insights. Like a poet, Brent Strawn chooses each topic, each phrase, and even each word carefully; and he does an excellent job of drawing the listener into the world of poetry—both biblical and contemporary! I highly recommend this podcast, and it will undoubtedly give you a greater love for biblical poetry than you had previously.

The smooth jazz of Bible podcasts
If you enjoy reading biblical poetry, you’ll enjoy it more if you listen to In Parallel with Brent Strawn. It’s the smooth jazz of Bible podcasts, and I mean that as high praise!

Very Engaging and thought provoking!
First episode was fantastic can’t wait for more! There is a time for murder podcasts, a time for self help podcasts, there is a time for current events podcasts and a time for historical podcasts, NOW is the time for THIS podcast! Just like God this podcast was right on time for me! Thanks Brent great cadence, beautiful music and overall very thought provoking ! This podcast caused me to “ponder” in a healthy way and that’s just what this active brain needed with the amount of unhealthy pondering I could be doing today!!!! Keep them coming can’t wait for next episode!!

Short and effective; serious yet fun
The episode format is different than what OnScript fans are used to. The episode on Ecclesiastes 3 is short and scripted, but the length is appropriate, and Brent Strawn has certainly done his homework. Strawn puts the biblical text on display, explains some interpretive challenges in an engaging way, and offers a compelling solution. If you like biblical poetry and want to learn more, this is an promising podcast to follow.

Concise, Witty, and Thought-Provoking
First episode takes well-worn poetry from Ecclesiastes and gives a fresh new take on it. It is concise and leaves the listener thinking deeply on biblical poetry. I look forward to more!
