Ep. 21 - Being Professional AND Interesting on LinkedIn w/ Christine Uri and Shaun Sethna
On this week's episode, Tony sits down with Christine Uri and Shaun Sethna, two attorneys who produce engaging content on LinkedIn for their robust and supportive networks. As someone who tends to lean into personal content hard, Tony appreciates picking the brains of pros who gracefully walk the fine line between professional content and things that some might characterize as more fit for Facebook.  This episode gets into the guests' attitudes toward the platform and content creation, how they think about being on social media as members of a profession that generally doesn't engage much, and their tips for people considering getting more active on LinkedIn.  ---------------- Speaking of lawyers, we've launched The Linked Lawyer Community as of this week. It's for lawyers who would like to build a presence on LinkedIn and consists of a private LinkedIn group, access to coaching from Tony, and bi-weekly Zoom sessions on topics related to content creation and branding. This week only, we're offering a free 10-day trial with this link.  You can also learn more at www.contenderllc.com.

Ep. 20 - How To Land That Next Role via LinkedIn w/ Brianna Doe and Julie Raeder
This week's conversation dives into a topic that's often painful—job hunting. How to think differently about landing that next role (and get better results with less aggravation) is a topic Brianna Doe and Julie Raeder know a bit about. Brianna is a marketing pro and entrepreneur who founded The Career Lab and Soul Food Studio. Through The Career Lab, Brianna is supporting early- to mid-career professionals to build the career they want through a job board, resources, and coaching. Julie is a Customer Success Coach with Dooly, one of the strongest brands on LinkedIn, and she joined the company after using a relatively unique approach to LinkedIn to help transition from education to tech.  In this episode, we unpack their respective approaches to the job search and how they've leveraged content on LinkedIn to build their brands, land roles, and support others in doing the same.  This week, we also have a Hustle Corner segment featuring Dennis Geelen and The Author's Playbook. Dennis is a consultant, solopreneur, and author of four books. Most recently, Dennis published The Accidental Solopreneur, which I higher recommend.  It came out right around the time I released In The Creative Arena, and Dennis and I had the pleasure of doing an event together talking about our books. In this Hustle Corner, we get into how The Author's Playbook could help you finally turn that book idea into an actual book.

Ep. 18 - Leading on LinkedIn w/ Tania Bhattacharyya and Mitch Stein
This week, Tony hangs out with a couple phenomenal humans he connected with through the little-known “Nonprofit Corner” of LinkedIn. Tania is a marketing consultant and former Executive Director who hosts the Campfire Circle podcast. After a career in nonprofits, she’s helping leaders in the social impact sector get heard. After working on Wall Street, Mitch Stein was the CEO of Pond, a startup that sought to become the Airbnb for nonprofit orgs and vendors. He talks about the difficult decision to shut the company down last month and what’s coming next. We get into how leaders can better leverage LinkedIn, why some industries are reluctant adopters, and how to handle trolls.

Ep. 17 - The Wildest Content on LinkedIn w/ Paul Watkins and Tyler Schmoker
Tony has never climbed a mountain more intense than hiking up a very large large hill, but he's had a fascination with extreme outdoor endeavors for the last decade and has aspirations of taking  on meatier challenges in wild places. That's probably why he's such a sucker for wild content on LinkedIn, and Paul Watkins  and Tyler Schmoker are two men who post some of the wildest. A former pharmacist from Australia and an American security industry pro, respectively, they share a brand of personal development built on undertaking serious challenges in intense locations. From climbing some of the world's largest mountains to taking part in 100-mile-plus winter ultramarathons, these men push themselves to their limits and then share the lessons they've learned on LinkedIn.  In this conversation, the gents get into some of their adventures, their approach to content creation, and the natural tension between a lifestyle that emphasizes disconnecting from day-to-day tech usage and posting consistently on social media.  You can find Paul's book, Lost and Found, on Amazon and the audio version on Audible. I highly recommend the audiobook.  Tony's book, In The Creative Arena, is also available, but features exponentially fewer stories involving a man taking a shot of whiskey with a preserved human toe in the glass.

They get into what led to their respective career leaps, how they came to discover the potential for LinkedIn, how they think about content creation (targeted vs general, personal vs educational), and how they're thinking about their next steps in life.  Tony's book, In The Creative Arena, is available on Amazon.

For the first episode of 2023, Tony welcomes Sam Browne back to the show for a laid-back chat. The gentlemen reminisce about when they first connected on LinkedIn a year ago, how they think about their first year of content creation, and what they're focusing on coming into the new year (spoiler alert—going to be a lot of video coming from these guys this year).  Also, it's Sam's birthday this week, so be sure to wish the old boy a happy 40-somethingth birthday.

Ep. 14 - Ask Me Anything w/ Tony Albrecht!
They say a podcaster doesn't get his wings until he's done an Ask Me Anything episode. Tony recorded an AMA and is now flying high. Over the course of this marathon session, he fields questions about his process, imposter syndrome, personal branding, ghostwriting, his beard, and other stuff. If you don't come away educated, inspired, and downright exhausted, we'll give you a full refund.  Thanks to every one of the lovely people who contributed to this episode by tossing a question out for me to take a crack at:  Anna Peng Bill Murphy Erik Duncan  Eva Rose Daniel  Izzy Prior Jon McCoy Josh Etress Marcus Frick Mark Daniel Mel Schmitz Nathan Hill Sajal Ahsan Sam Browne Tania Bhattacharryya Tasha Van Vlack Travis Hinkle Yong-Soo Chung Tony mentions his book, In The Creative Arena, during this episode. Finally, Tony gets together with a couple other lawyers to have a chat about their career-shifting experiences on LinkedIn...and why so many colleagues in the legal profession are afraid to even hit LIKE on a LinkedIn post. Brittany Leonard and Chad Aboud are both attorneys who spent time in law firm settings before opting for in-house roles. This conversation dives into how the three lawyers found themselves creating content on LinkedIn, what it's going to take to get more lawyers following suit, the benefits of contributing on LinkedIn, and tips for people interested in beginning to create content.
