In Conversation with Historians is co-created and organized by Emma Sheinbaum (Communications & Development Coordinator) and Saeeda Islam (Faculty Affairs Coordinator) in response to the rise of the Black Lives Matters movement following the death of George Floyd, the rise of white nationalism in politics, the long-standing immigration crisis in the United States, and the shifting reality in which we are all living, navigating amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and the urgent need to have these important conversations. We connect history with our current moment, emphasizing social justice & action.
