This week on Impractical Brokers, Shane and Jesse welcome Lafayette Britto. Also known as Lafa, he has been in the industry for three years and recently closed a six-and-a-half-million-dollar house in Central Florida. Before that, he worked as a real estate photographer for eleven years in the area, beginning with cars and eventually transitioning into doing weddings, portraits, headshots, and other related services. They discuss his journey into the real estate world despite having difficulties with the financial constraints of the business and realtors that were fine with using cell phone shots. His story shares how to take advantage of the opportunities life gives you.
At 10, Lafayette Brito moved to Orlando, Florida, from Brazil with his family. Moving to a new country is a challenge for many, especially with nothing to your name and the barrier of not knowing a new language. He grew up witnessing both of his parents work extremely hard to provide what they now have today. That taught him integrity, hard work, and honesty. To this day, he can apply those qualities to his work to continue growing and succeeding.
After years of working in the corporate lifestyle, Lafayette decided to open his own business following his passion for photography. With that, he worked with various large home builders and some of the best agents in Central Florida, creating their marketing material. With 15 years of sales experience paired with 10 in digital marketing, Lafayette decided to join the ranks of selling real estate in the place he calls home. During his first year in Real Estate, Lafayette sold over $5 Million within 14 transactions.
