“In a bid to be free, I created a whole new music project where I didn’t expect people to associate Nysza with any cultural identity. I didn’t expect people to know where Nysza came from,” says this week’s featured artist Ananya Panwar, who isn’t bound to just one artistic discipline. As a singer, poet, composer, performance scientist, and advocate for climate change, Ananya’s voice shines through her work in every capacity. She’s also one of the co-founders of Gaia’s Garden, a volunteer-created intersectional community garden that programs workshops, performances, and community events that help to bring people together.
