I am Decided: Committed to Not Quitting
When I commit, I don’t quit. … Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. 6As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 2 Timothy 4:5-7 “… I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.” Revelation 3:1-2 What’s your unfinished business? Here is my advice: It would be good for you to finish what you started a year ago. Last year you were the first who wanted to give, and you were the first to begin doing it. 11Now you should finish what you started. … 2 Corinthians 8:10-11 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24 Take the next step. … being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. I am Decided: I am Faithful
ONE WORD THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.” Habakkuk 2:4 1. Every interaction is an opportunity to add value. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29 2. Every resource is an opportunity to multiply. “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. …’” Matthew 25:21 pistos: persons who show themselves faithful in the transaction of business, the execution of commands, or the discharge of official duties “‘So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ 26His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! …’”  Matthew 25:25-26 3. Every prompting is an opportunity to obey God.  “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.” Acts 20:22 Obedience is our responsibility. The outcome is God’s. • The post I am Decided: I am Faithful appeared first on Impact Christian Church.

I Am Decided: To Be Devoted to Jesus
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to youas well.”Matthew 6:33 I will seek first the One who matters most.I am devoted to Jesus.  LOOKING AT YOUR168 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. Acts 2:42-43“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5  Goal: Be a branch that needs the vine. “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” John 15:4 I am decided on a time. I am decided on a place. I am decided on a plan. I Have Decided: Fight That Feeling
The quality of your decisions determines the quality of your life. I am ready.I am consistent.I am devoted.I am generous.I am faithful.I am a finisher. When our values are clear, decisions are easier. Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13   “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41 1.The devil is coming for you.  I wrote to you … 11so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes. 2 Corinthians 2:9, 11 2. You are not as strong as you think. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!   1 Corinthians 10:12 3 Ways To Fight Temptation 1. Move the line.    The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. Psalm 16:6 2. Count the cost. What if the worse-case-scenario comes true? “… you will be sinning against the Lord; and you may be sure that your sin will find you out.” Numbers 32:23 3. Plan your escape route. … Joseph was a very handsome and well-built young man, 7and Potiphar’s wife soon began to look at him lustfully. “Come and sleep with me,” she demanded. Genesis 39:6-7 … But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house. Genesis 39:12 … And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 Why would I resist a temptation in the future if I have the power to eliminate it today? I Have Decided: Get Your Life Back
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19See, I am doing a new thing! …”” Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV The quality of your decisions determines the quality of your life. Why Do I Struggle to Make Good Decisions? We’re overwhelmed with choices. We’re afraid of making a wrong choice. We let emotions overrule logic. Don’t make permanent decisions based on temporary emotions. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3 NIV When faced with __________ (this situation), I have already decided to ___________ (take this action). But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine … Daniel 1:8 NIV What do you value? When your values are clear, your decisions are easier. If your life is moving in the direction of your decisions, do you like the direction your decisions are taking you? I am ready.I am consistent.I am devoted.I am generous.I am faithful.I am a finisher. The post I Have Decided: Get Your Life Back appeared first on Impact Christian Church.

What Does God Want To Do In My Life?
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.”  1 Cor. 2:9 “With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine.” Eph. 3:20 FIGURING IT OUT! Joshua 1:1-11 1.Dump your doubt Anyone who doubts is like a wave in the sea, blown up and down by the wind…  They should not think they will receive anything from the Lord.”  James 1:6-7 “Be bold and strong!  Banish fear and doubt!  For remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Josh. 1:9 What causes me to doubt? 2. Depend on God’s promises “I promises Moses I would give you this land, so I will give you every place you go in the land.”  Josh. 1:3 “Now my time has come to die.  Every one of you knows… that God has given you all the good things that He promised.  Every promise He made has been kept; not one has failed.”  Josh. 23:14 3 Promises to Those Who Live for God Strength: Josh. 1:5Success: God’s way-Josh. 1:7Support- Josh. 1:9 3. Lean on Him “No one will be able to defeat you all your life.  Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.  I will not leave you or forget you.“  Josh. 1:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.  And do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him.  And He will make your paths straight.”  Prov. 3:5-6 “Always remember what is written in this Book…  Study it day and night to be sure to obey everything that is written there.  If you do this, you will be wise and successful in everything.”  Josh.  1:8 4. Launch out in faith  “Then Joshua issued instructions to the leaders to tell the people to get ready to cross the Jordan River.”  Josh. 1:10-11 “If you wait for perfect conditions, you’ll never get anything done!”  Eccl. 11:4 “God can do anything, you know –far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!  He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us.”  Eph. 3:20 The post What Does God Want To Do In My Life? appeared first on Impact Christian Church.

His Love is Big Enough for You
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! …1 John 3:1 NIV On the other side of the lake the crowds welcomed Jesus, because they had been waiting for him. 41Then a man named Jairus, a leader of the local synagogue, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come home with him. 42His only daughter, who was about twelve years old, was dying. As Jesus went with him, he was surrounded by the crowds. 43A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. 44Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped. 45“Who touched me?” Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, and Peter said, “Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.” 46But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.” 47When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. 48“Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”Luke 8:40-48 The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. Psalm 103:13 … “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Exodus 34:6 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8 NLT HOW DO WE EXPERIENCE THE LOVE OF THE FATHER? 1. He walks with us. “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8 If you’re going to walk with someone, walk with someone who loves you. 2. He stops for us. 3. He talks to us. The lavish love of your Father labels you as His child. But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” Luke 8:54 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! … 1 John 3:1 The post His Love is Big Enough for You appeared first on Impact Christian Church.

Called: Back on Track
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Ephesians 4:1 God calls you to salvation.God calls you to sanctification.God calls you to service. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17  Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 1 Corinthians 1:26  God doesn’t call the prepared. God prepares the called. TWO QUALITIES OF CALLING 1.Calling costs.  But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. 16I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.” Acts 9:15-16   God often uses our deepest pain to launch our greatest calling. TWO QUALITIES OF CALLING 2. Calling sustains.  Paul didn’t finish because he was competent. Paul finished because he was called. …  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14  For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.Romans 11:29 … we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 12We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you …2 Thessalonians 1:11-12  The post Called: Back on Track appeared first on Impact Christian Church.

Called: Life the Life you Have Been Given
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Ephesians 4:1 Video Jeff shared from Rich Mullins Greek word for calling Kaleo—To callKlesis—CallingKletos—CalledParaklete—ComforterEkklesia—Assembly of believers; the Church; called-out ones Calling is about WHO you are before WHAT you do For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. 2nd Timothy 1:9 NLT  Calling isn’t about something important you do in the future, it’s about your faithfulness to Jesus today. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17 NIVAs Jesus and his disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead. Mark 11:1 “Go into that village over there,” he told them. “As soon as you enter it, you will see a young donkey tied there that no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks, ‘What are you doing?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs it and will return it soon.’” Mark 11:2-3 The size of your assignment never determines the significance of your impact. Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.
