Episode 11: I’m Tired of Success Because…I Don’t Have a Sanctuary (Pt 3)
Lack of Courage: The Essence of having a Sanctuary Do you have a sanctuary? What’s your sanctuary routine? We all need a sanctuary and a routine that works for us. A sanctuary gives us room to get vulnerable, cleansed, and refreshed. When Jesus was on earth, He always took time to retreat and soak in the presence of God. We live in a world where so many things happen, and if we do not take spare time to be in our sanctuaries, things may get so difficult, and we might end up feeling overwhelmed. When you learn to retreat, it gives you room to learn more about yourself, gets close to God, gets refreshed and arms you with the courage you need to show up to the world. As we continue our courage talks today, we will look at the essence of having a sanctuary and a consistent sanctuary routine. Listen in to learn more. Key Talking Points of the Episode: [04:04] You have to create your sanctuary [14:34] Why do we sometimes lack a sanctuary and fail to spend time in the sanctuary? [21:13] Donovan’s sanctuary routine [25:21] Kevin’s sanctuary routine Magical Quotes from the Episode: “Unless you have internal discernment about yourself, and that you’re being honest with yourself, you won’t be able to tell when it’s time to come inside.” - [11:45] “In that quiet place with God, there is healing, development, alignment, and power that you’re associated with. So now when you go into the valley of the shadow of death, you can fear no evil, because you’ve been in that quiet space with God.”- [15:34] “Spending time with God allows you to do the things that God calls you to do in the areas of life where they’re not commonly done.”- [17:20] “We need that compound on interest from heaven, to be able to speak life into the world, and lead and be in our workplaces and to lead our families. If I don’t have that compound interest that I’m that’s dripping from the rain of heaven. How in the world am I going to salt the earth?”- [19:59] “The less shame I have about my relationship with God the more courage I will have out there in the world.”- [24:40] “Every sanctuary doesn’t have to look the same.”- [25:29] “Commitment is an emotional connection to what you’re called to do, so that when the challenges of life come in your leadership and your performance in your parenting, and in your workplace, you have that much more tools to fight.”- [30:48] Scriptures Mentioned in the Episode: Matthew 6:34 Proverbs 21:5 Luke 5:15-16 Mark 1:35 Colossians 3:1-2 Ephesians 4:22-24 Challenge of the Week: If you don’t have a sanctuary, create your sanctuary space. Episode 10: I’m Tired of Success Because…I Lack Courage (Pt 2)
Have you ever found yourself minimizing your uniqueness, and you end up not being successful? It is time to demolish that. God made you unique for you to achieve a particular purpose. Trying to be who you are not extremely tiring while walking on the path of who you are, is energizing and encouraging. As humans, we tend to view our weaknesses as our liabilities, but God doesn’t want us to see them that way. He wants us to look at our weaknesses as assets to bring honor and glory to His name. For instance, look at Kevin. God gave him a unique voice. He thought his voice was weak because he couldn’t sing like other people. God’s plan for him was to use his voice to encourage other people to embrace their uniqueness and bring praise to God. Every weakness, every disadvantage that you were born with. Maybe this is exactly what God is going to use as a testimony so that He can receive the glory when you conquer the weakness. This episode will give you the courage to deal with your threats and give you the motivation require. Listen in and learn. Episode 9: I’m Tired of Success Because… I Lack Courage (Pt 1)
Have you ever been in a car with someone who is just a bad driver? You’re in the passenger seat, but you’re incredibly exhausted once you get to your destination. Do you ever wonder why you get that tired? You get tired because you were trying to manage all the emotions, thoughts, and fear. This is a simple analogy of how exhausting it is to not have God as your final authority. Often, we allow our emotions to get in our way. We find ourselves in fear, doubt, and pain. But once we allow ourselves to be in partnership with God, we become courageous. We allow ourselves not to be independent but be dependent on God. Today, we will be talking about lack of courage and how it affects our lives. Listen in and learn. Check out this Book: Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family- Paul David Tripp Here you can leave us a voice message: Who knows? Even though God equipped you to do it.” [09:45] “Every time you feel fear, identify it is trying to separate you from truth, an understanding about yourself, or your relationship with God. The only way you can solidify what you know is to move by faith on it.” [12:19] “So many times, I have let other things creep into the environment of courage to knock courage from its rightful place.” [13:07] “Fear is simply letting you know where you would be stuck if you did not have a relationship with God.” [14:49] “God calls unable people to do important things because ultimately, what He’s working on is not your immediate success. But that you would come to know Him, love him to rest in His grace, and live for His glory.” [24:12] “It’s easy for me to find the motivation to do what I want to do. But it may be a little more challenging to find the motivation to do what I need to do. Welcome to Imagine Faith Talk: The podcast where we believe that faith in God is key to unlocking everything you are called to be. In this episode we continue discussing the five things you haven't been told about your imagination.   For us to weaponize our imagination, we have to know where we got it from and what was its intended purpose from the onset. Sometimes we get imaginations from God, and other times from our flesh. How are we supposed to tell the difference? Donovan has the secret sauce, and he will be sharing it in this episode. Today we will be continuing with a conversation from our last episode. Have you listened to it? We talked about things you haven’t been told about your imagination you haven’t been told. [02:24] Just because your imagination comes from God doesn’t mean that every thought is. [07:14] How do you know when a thought comes from God or flesh? [09:15] How do you know when you’re taking scripture, and I’m making it for God, but you’re probably making it for you? [14:04] Your imagination can save your life. [22:14] Which point impacted Donovan the most. [22:59] Which points impacted Kevin the most? Magical Quotes from the Episode: “If I can’t find it in God’s word, then not from him. God confirms what he’s already said to me through His Word.” [08:01]  “If ever you find yourself going down a path that causes you or requires you to diminish your uniqueness, it’s fair to question Is this from God.” [11:55]  “I don’t think you can maximize the beauty of the imagination that God had manufactured for you from a state of anxiety.” [12:43]  “Don’t let the enemy convince you to believe that it’s your end when God said, this is the beginning. Don’t allow the enemy to make you believe that you can’t do it in this place. When God said, this is exactly where I called you to.” [17:47]  This Week’s Homework: Look through the inventory of your mind and ask yourself, have I allowed every single thought to be captive to God? Am I allowing myself to affirm the creators in my DNA? Am I planning the work so that my imagination has a plan to work out of thinking about those things and then put a plan in motion so that I can tackle the enemy? --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/imaginefaithtalk/message

Episode 5: 5 Things You Haven't Been Told About Your Imagination (Pt 1)
In this episode, we will be busting some myths around imagination and providing you with our tools and tricks for high performers! Close your eyes. I want you to imagine a pink elephant in a room. Do you see the pink elephant in a white room? Now, notice that pink elephant jumping up and down on your bed in your white room? Could you picture that whole thing? Then that means you’re a creator. It means you’re imaginative. Just because you’re not in a creative industry does not mean you don’t have that gift. We all have the DNA of being creators. Maybe your gift is supposed to be used in a nonprofit space. Perhaps your imaginative gift is for you to think of and solve world problems. Maybe you imagine that a gift is to serve people in your community in a way that they have never been served before. You have to use it within the sphere of influence and the uniqueness God put inside of you. That’s the only way you’re able to use it. This podcast is sponsored by FAITHFUL. Episode 3: 5 Ways To Have Faith In Your Uniqueness (Pt 1)
Did you know that God created you as a unique being, and He looks at you and thinks you are the best piece of art He ever made? Unfortunately, the human race tends to forget too fast. We forget the Uniqueness God put in us, and we allow ourselves to be corrupted by the cultures around us. We need to set aside time for sanitation and purification. Also, we need to learn how to spend time with God and soak in His presence to best replenish our uniqueness. In this episode, we’ll discuss two ways to have Faith in your uniqueness. They include identifying the origins of your uniqueness and purifying your definition of success. Listen to this episode to learn more. Key Talking Points of the Episode: [00:40] Why is Faith in uniqueness relevant to high performers with higher values operating in their higher nature? [02:01] Do we ever feel like God gave us the wrong gift? [07:14] What is uniqueness? [13:09] Why do we run away from who God made us be? [20:22] Having a system of purification and sanitation within us [25:34] Giving versus delivering [26:59] success in culture’s eye Magical Quotes from the Episode: “God spends meticulous detail on the remembrance because he knows that we humans forget so easily.” “If we do not take what God has for us as a definition of success, we will let everybody else cloud our mind and our judgment.” “I have to spend time with my Creator, to remember that I come from our Creator and that He is empowering me to do exactly what He did and that is create.” “We have to fall in love with who we authentically are.” “I’m not fighting for victory. I’m fighting from victory. I’m not fighting to be who I am. I’m fighting to preserve who I am.” “God is literally the greatest artist in the universe, and He thinks that we are one of His most beautiful creations.” Scriptures Mentioned in the Bible: Psalms 139:13-14 Ephesians 2:10 Romans 12 Micah 6:8 James 12:7 Quotes for Audiograms: “If I only set out to do all that I can do, I will reach as far as I can reach, and that will be the limit. But when I set out to partner with God, I’m going beyond what I can see, and I’m not walking by sight. I’m walking by Faith. That’s where I begin to experience the exceedingly abundantly above what I may ask or think. Because my ability is so limited.” [28:24] “We were never made to handle it all. Jesus said, why are you worrying? And why are you taking all of this yoke that is mine to take. The only way you’re going to be able to be free in your Uniqueness and not feel the burden is if you restfully in me. It’s the only way because I’m the one that puts that Uniqueness inside of you. I’m also the one that created your character and your personality. I know how you operate. I know I’m God.” [27:38] “Somebody slapped me in the face so hard, it said, the reason that you have this pedigree, the reason you have this opportunity to network with these types of people, is so that now you have the greatest tools to serve the world and add value to other people’s lives.
