I love everything about this podcast. I was hooked by the Buckaroo Banzai episode. The topics are great, the hosts’ sense of humor is refreshing, and the background research and references that are thrown in throughout are compelling and fun. If you get a kick out of sci-fi, comics, fantasy, etc - check this out.

When I first started listening to this podcast I was in a rough place. My basketball team wasn’t very good, my love life was a mess, and my after school job at my dad’s hardware store wasn’t exactly glamorous. To make matters worse, I found out that I’m from a long line of werewolves. It wasn’t great a time. But that wasn’t even the nadir. The true lowest point was when I became a jerk to my friends, spent too much time surfing on top of my friend Style’s Van and started dating a girl that was just using me. But as I continued to listen to Brent and Kelly, I learned that true happiness came from within. By the time they reviewed Krull, I had ditched my werewolf fur and started dating my current girlfriend, Boof. Thanks Brent and Kelly!!!

The chemistry of the playful, mischievous Kelly Powers...and the acerbic, brutally honest Brent Phillips is a total blast. Any child of the 80’s MUST listen to this wonderful journey down memory lane as some of our most cherished cinema gets dusted off an analyzed with humor and love. Well done guys!
