Centering the Humanity of Educators
I appreciate that Kwame centers the humanity of the educators he invites on his podcast. We get to learn about the backgrounds and stories of the amazing practitioners, which affords listeners a richer, deeper perspective into the how and why of their practice. Oftentimes in the teaching world, we’re quick to jump into strategies and solutions, but it’s just as important to slow down and get to know the person’s journey. As someone who was recently invited as a guest on Identity Talk, I’m thankful for Kwame posing thoughtful questions and taking his time getting to learn about my story.

Well Executed Podcast
I've been listening to Kwame’s podcast #IDTALK4EDLIVE and I am truly impressed by the quality of his guests and his hosting style. He effectively showcases the incredible work being done in education worldwide. During my interview with him, I spent an hour recording, which felt far too short given how much I enjoyed the experience. If you haven't listened to any of his podcasts, I highly encourage you to do so. He features many influential figures who share valuable insights. Kwame is a gracious interviewer who expertly guided me through the conversation and helped calm my nerves. Best of luck in your endeavors!

A Well Researched Podcast
It was a gift to be a guest on Identity Talk for Educators LIVE. During episode 164, I was able to share “The Spiritual Power of Storytelling” from my perspective as a Haitian-American, Brooklyn-based author, educator, healer and herbalist. The most rewarding part of this experience was realizing the in-depth research Kwame Sarfo-Mensah did as a host. He shows appreciation for his guests’ by learning all he can about them before the podcast. This allowed him to craft and ask the most aligned and thoughtful questions which resulted in a rich and robust conversation around my identity, work and aspirations. He also does a great job communication and preparing guests for the talk. I believe this podcast invites authentic, transparent, and powerful educators. I highly recommend listening and/ or participating!
