二十世紀的世界史可說是一段資本主義與共產主義對抗的歷史，至二十一世紀初仍然繼續，影響全世界，對台灣的未來影響尤其明顯。台灣人能不深入了解共產黨的歷史嗎？
本節目將以「說故事」的方式敘述史實，為聽眾介紹共產世界兩百多年的興衰史，從馬克思、恩格斯、列寧說起，說到中國的改革開放、東歐劇變、蘇聯解體，又接續講述其後續的發展、演變。書中也詳述了蘇聯、中共、古巴「輸出革命」到東南亞、拉丁美洲、非洲及伊斯蘭世界的歷史。
