Matt Russell is a great friend of Kris’s. We talk about some of their stories from past hunts and plans for hunts this year. Matt tells a couple stories which are unforgettable!

We open with some questions about Harts Pass, as Rudy had just been up there doing some trail work with the Pacific Crest Trail Association. Politics of sorts are also discussed.

Rudy and Kris sit down to talk about deer in Washington. Whitetail Deer are prolific on the Northeast corner of the state, Mule Deer are found in Eastern Washington and Blacktail Deer are in Western Washington.

Kris Cantrell owns and runs Cantrell Outdoors. He typically says to start with a gun you can do a lot with. He often recommend the .300 ultra magnum. It is a magnum cartridge which can shoot just about anything in the lower 48 states of North America.
