Chocolate Understands
Adrienne C Barr
Black culture is not a monolith that fits neatly into a narrowly defined box. We are a rich, diverse tapestry of global thoughts, ideas, and perspectives. Sometimes I tap light, sometimes deeper, but the goal of each episode is to make you think and expand your world. Career, family, healthcare, tech, love - it's on tap. As an eclectic sometimes-writer and vintage clothing collector who works in tech but started out in social work, fasten your seatbelts because I'm also a Taurus and a Southpaw with fun, unapologetic traits of both! Things here might hit different but I think you'll like it.
Growing Forward : Life Learnings from Generations Ahead
I've had some great conversations lately with amazing women. Real talk conversations about life, about love, about career, about belonging. I've also grown through them. Wisdom is bi-directional. If you are not learning from those around you, you're not growing! This episode is about appreciating wisdom across our generations.

"Honk for Jesus" and Let the Church Say Amen!
"Honk for Jesus" is a very, very dark comedy about toxic religion and a disturbing and likely triggering subject matter plaguing far too many churches. It gets it right on every single level. And that seems to be upsetting some of the blessed and highly favored in the pews. They'll be alright. Honk for Jesus isn't about the Black church(alone). It's equal opportunity across ALL races, denominations and pulpits.
