In this episode, we're joined by the immensely talented and dedicated Karyn Clements; multidisciplinary artist, creative director and founder of a boutique creative studio based in Perth, Western Australia. Since graduating a Film & Anthropology and Sociology degree in 2012, Karyn has photographed over 100+ weddings and celebrations over the last decade. But her story, like many of ours, hasn’t followed that proverbial straight line. Prompted by the devastation of Covid and with more than 12+ years of experience behind the lens, Karyn pivoted to creating websites, photographs and videos for small business; diving successfully into the world of design and art theory, evolving her business to centre around helping purpose-led brands show up authentically, creatively, and confidently — both online and in real life. Becoming a first time Mum in 2021 understandably shook Karyn's ideas and perceptions around what it meant to live 'successfully' and 'creatively' and challenged old ways and versions of her former self. Since that time, a late ADHD diagnosis has also helped her to understand herself in empowering new ways, many of which she shares with us openly and vulnerably.Today, fuelled with much growth, insight and many new perspectives, Karyn has reshaped a life of purpose and prosperity – life and business on her terms. Incredibly passionate about building high-impact brands for female-led founders, through strategic branding, visual storytelling and honest, human-conversations, today Karyn helps clients feel seen, comfortable & safe, and excited to step into their next chapters. For this month's convo, we're joined by the wonderfully real, relatable and talented Jadene Channon, owner and artist behind Perth-based paramedical tattooist B&S Cosmetic Tattooing. Originally from the UK now loving life in mostly sunny Perth,Jadene is proud mum to two boys. As a former hairdresser then cosmetic tattooist focusing on brows, Jadene is no stranger to running a small business in the beauty industry. Though it's been in more recent years that she's regained that 'oomph' in her heart as she followed its call into a new career path: as a paramedical tattooist. These days, Jadene works across gaps between the beauty and medical industries and has built a strong reputation for offering less invasive methods and techniques of scar camouflage and correction (she was one of the first artists in Perth to offer to Nue Conceal scar camouflage). Today, through the advanced tattooing techniques and inkless treatments, she helps people who struggle with the appearance of scars, stretch marks and skin inconsistencies, providing them solutions they may not have even known existed.Jadene's work isn’t about aesthetics in the traditional sense, it’s about helping people feel less distracted by their scars so they can move forward without them being a constant reminder. One needs only a minute with her to feel completely safe and at ease in her presence, and her passion and commitment to her craft is obvious. In this conversation, we talk a lot of 'shop' as Jadene openly shares lessons and challenges operating small business, her ongoing commitment to raising awareness of paramedical tattooing and bridging gaps for those who have felt overlooked in the beauty and medical industries; as well as sharing tips for others who may be thinking of venturing into the big and bright world of self employment.Tune into Jadene's story today, and check us out on Instagram: Jadene @b.scosmetictattooingLinda (host) @lindarobynhypnotherapy An how else you can reach us:bscosmetictattooing.com.aulindarobyn.comDISCLAIMER:Podcast I Changed My Mind, including any of its associated content, whether in part or full, does not contain and is not intended as health, medical or psychological recommendation, care, guidance or advice. In today's episode, we're chatting with the colourful and multipassionate Kirsty Head, authenticity and alignment coach. In work as in life, Kirsty is passionate about many (and varied!) things, including helping others to ditch people-pleasing, break free from the “shoulds,” and live their lives truly and unapologetically. Having learned and grown through her own 'School of Life' lived ups and downs, and her trainings and quals as a life coach and in mindset/NLP, Kirsty openly shares some prominent moments and learnings that have shaped her own journey; and the transitions towards the vibrant and authentic ways of her current life.Just like Kirsty shares on her own podcast, 'Dazed to Driven', our time on this planet is too short to be living according to others' rules and expectations. Perhaps, by listening to Kirsty, we might take greater confidence and inspiration to take that wheel and steer — along our own chosen paths and adventures.Tune in today, and check us out on Instagram: Kirsty @kirstyheadxo Linda (host) @lindarobynhypnotherapy An how else you can reach us:Kirsty's Linktreelindarobyn.comDISCLAIMER:Podcast I Changed My Mind, including any of its associated content, whether in part or full, does not contain and is not intended as health, medical or psychological recommendation, care, guidance or advice.
