Fillers, nips, tucks, and implants. Plastic surgery is being served up to women on silver platters at an alarming rate with breast augmentation being the number one elected surgery.

Oddly enough, a quick google search on plastic surgery you may find it tough to find any negative talk of these procedures. You may have to do a little digging. Unfortunately, for a lot of women who face complications for such surgery’s like our guest Dr. Amanda Savage Brown, you may never find the connection to illnesses linked to plastic surgery (specifically breast implants, which we now know are NOT lifetime devices) until you’re faced with the illness itself. And even then you may have to dig even deeper to find the support backing your symptoms and intuitions.

This week we talk to an incredibly strong soul, Dr. Amanda who has dedicated her life’s practice to helping women reclaim their bodies and minds from society’s beauty standards and breast implant illness.

Dr. Amanda bravely shares with us her personal experience with breast implant illness (BII) that lead her down a path of disability and pain. She shares how she was able to make the connection to her illness, what explant looked like for her and how she is embracing her own experiences to help women all over battle toxic trends and body dysmorphia.

She has a powerful message we feel every woman should hear!
