A cure for boredom
My 9 and 11 year old daughters who always accuse me of liking "boring" movies and podcasts, not only liked this podcast (they overheard me listening to episode 1), but asked me to play another (they chose Sharpie Tattoo, which instigated an interesting conversation). It is so pleasing to finally have something funny, thoughtful and entertaining to listen to when doing banal tasks, like washing dishes, that my kids won't complain about overhearing, and may even request. Highly enjoyable.

Wonderful!
Lots of great insight, humor, and storytelling are packed into these episodes that provide a thought-provoking window into what life is like for all sorts of "hyphenated Americans."

Awesome
I love this podcast. The name of the podcast is outstanding. Parth, you captured me already. Just keep episodes coming and I am here for as long as HYPHEN lives. Congrats.

Really interesting viewpoints
I'm really enjoying this. Mostly stories about immigrant families, and what it's like to have both an American identity and ties to another culture, and how people reconcile the two.
I don't come from a recent immigrant background, but I love these stories. This perspective is not one that I get to hear about in my own life very often.

funny and cutting, with empathy
Parth's interview style is one of quick humor and wit. With this advantage, he undercuts systemic identity-based oppression in the US today. Incorporating a wide swath of voices, the Hypen team ensures that the listen will gain empathy by understanding others. 10/10, must listen

Relatable af
The content is very relatable! There isn't a lot of content for and about people in that hyphenated space so I really appreciate that this exists. ππ»π Well done and nice intro and outro music ππ»

A really interesting perspective
I love this new podcast. Itβs from a perspective completely unlike my own and yet told in such a way that I feel like I can completely understand and relate. Only three episodes in and I am already looking forward to the fourth.

Thoughtful, Easy Listening
These episodes are really thoughtfully curated, and fun to listen to. Meaningful topics but with real voices so the insight, emotions, and laughs are contagious.

Bravo!
I have to consciously stop myself from trying to chime into the conversations through my headphones as I listen. You're only two episodes in and Hyphen is strangely relatable, yet revealing. Many of us living in the so called "hyphen" are familiar with the threads your pulling, but you're pulling them further than we may have or weaving them into a portrait we might not have considered. I'm looking forward to hearing where this work takes you, and keep up the great work.

Real deep stuff. That girl Ak is straight π₯. Parth (Paaarth) has a sexy voice too.

Dope
Firstly, the kid who ordered a Moscow Mule seemed really relatable, funny, witty, smart, and, dare I say, drop dead gorgeous? More importantly, Parth did a phenomenal job and am real excited to see what he does next with this!

Amazing podcast about hyphenated identities
This podcast explores Asian American identity and experience in an extremely smart, witty, charming and thought provoking way. It is beautifully produced, insightful, and a must listen for anyone and everyone who has ever felt straddled between two worlds, two cultures, or two versions of themselves.

The 'Master of None' of Podcasts
With only one episode, Parth Shah has captured millennials' fascination and frustration with the Standard American Dream. Highlighting with humor and depth his fellow marginalized millennials' struggles to assimilate while retaining their heritage, Shah's "Hyphen" could be for podcasts what Aziz Ansari's "Master of None" was for television.
