I wanted to like this podcast, I really did, however I find the discussions just plain boring. It seems to always be centered around lack of diversity, which is obviously an issue. I just wish the conversations where a little more diverse. I also wish some of the hosts would brush up on some comic basics. I can’t stand when people hate things simply because they’re popular. Please stop doing that.

I used to enjoy listening. I got some good book and TV recommendations, but recently I find myself fast forwarding through all their political rants. All they ever talk about it representation and diversity. Meanwhile, the hosts are hardly diverse and almost always female. As someone who was raised in a conservative-leaning household, I somehow turned out to be an independent-thinking female that doesn't feel the need for male influences. According to them, girls grow up thinking they are inferior because of the lack of women in leading roles. I'm sorry but if children are relying on movies for role models, then something is wrong. Movies aren't real. Also they say more women need to be directing superhero movies but men aren't allowed to direct female led movies. It just gets so frustrating. I'm going to take a few months off this podcast. Maybe if they start letting go of all the political nonsense, I'll start watching. They want everything to have a political message. Well sorry but not everyone thinks the same as you.

I love listening to this podcast. They are great at balancing news and fun. But my favorite thing about the podcast is how they care about diversity. They don't just report on the main stream "white washed" Hollywood stories, but actually report on books, movies and TV shows that have diverse writing and characters. Keep up the great work ladies!

One of the few podcasts that skips to the top of my "up next" queue, Hypable's Hype is my go-to for pop culture and fandom news! The hosts seem like genuine fans, and I always look forward to hearing their opinions about upcoming projects. They also make a good point to discuss diversity and representation, which is and important issue when deciding what media we consume. Thanks for the great work, guys!

I love their How We Hype, the news, and the music segment. Even when there aren't a lot of hosts, the podcast is still interesting and entertaining.

The best thing about this podcast is the hosts! Even though I keep up with Hypable's articles daily, I still love to listen to each episode of this podcast just to hear the hosts' thoughts and opinions. My favorite segment is "How We Hype". I've found new shows, books, and music through their recommendations! I highly suggest this podcast to anyone in any fandom Hypable covers!

This is one of my favorite podcasts. It's the perfect way for me to keep up with pop culture news, and it feels like a chat with some good friends. Definitely recommend!

As the flagship podcast for an entire Hypable site I would expect more diversity in opinions (and in hosts!). They usually present their opinions as the “right one” and will immediately dismiss other opinions that contradict theirs. I’ve also noticed in several discussions about sexuality and race, they seem very one-sided, and I understand that a handful of the hosts are outside of the U.S. but as these discussions are primarily about the race and LGBT relations IN the U.S. I feel that they’re thoughts shouldn’t be given as much weight without allowing for more diversity and representation in their host lineup. It’s not a horrible podcast by any means and they’re all really polite - I just feel like this podcast doesn’t want to spend time thinking critically about the media they’re consuming or how they present it to their listeners.

I love this show and I really look forward to every new episode. The cast have great chemistry and it is just like sitting down to talk with your friends every time I listen. The show is really upbeat which is great for when you want something fun to listen to vs some podcasts (I love them but) that talk about some really depressing topics and news. I always know I will have a good positive time when I listen.

I used to enjoying listening to this podcast but within the last year or so it has become so hard to listen to. The interests are very narrow and they don't make any effort to expand their selections of hosts. So you end up listening to the same 3 or 4 people talk about comic book movies and tv shows and books that are mostly in the "late teens/early twenties" demo and then pretty much dump on and bash everything else. They bad talk Doctor Who, Game of Thrones and other shows for long periods of time. They rarely mention other current (more adult) shows like Walking Dead, Fargo, True Detective, etc. I sent them a VERY respecful comment once asking if they'd consider putting more variety in their show and got a reply that basically said, "No. We like it this way." Well, fine. But I just can't stand listening to it anymore.

I love Hype! The hosts are all really great and entertaining to listen to. I started listening to this show a couple months ago and now I never miss an episode. They do a great job covering the news every week. It's great for anyone who wants to keep up with the latest news in entertainment, but occasionally misses stories on their own. I would very highly recommend this podcast. It's definitely my favorite that I'm currently subscribed to.

I spend more time these days listening to podcasts then music, and Hypable’s Hype is a favorite of mine! A team of seasoned podcasters who have genuine enthusiasm for what they are doing is apparent. I also love the candid responses and opinions. It doesn’t matter if they all agree or disagree, it’s entertaining, informative and makes you feel like you’re sitting around with old friends.

They cover everything, and I mean everything. So if you are part of any fandom, you will need to listen.

When Hype started I was excited to have a podcast dedicated to fandom news beyond Mugglecast. I'm sad to say that within the last few months I've just lost interest in the show. There started to be fewer and fewer hosts (the last few episodes I've listened to had no more than three), and the conversation has become redundant. I don't sense as much enthusiasm from the hosts anymore. I hope Hypable can address this so I can be excited about having a fandom news podcast again.

I've listened to a couple of other hypable shows, but this one covers all kinds of pop culture, so it's a perfect fix when you just want to get the highlights of the week. Keep up the great work, guys!

I love this podcast. I'm a busy mom and don't always have time to keep up with current shows, movies, books, and music, and the podcast helps me keep up with it all. this way when a friend brings up a show or a movie i haven't seen i know at least what they are talking about. Thank you hype, you are awesome!

This podcast is a great summary of the news of so many of the fandoms that I’m a part of. The hosts are fun and great to listen to. I love hearing the differing opinions and perspectives.

The thing I love about fandoms is that they extend the feeling of escapism that movies, tv and books provide us. Hype used to tap into that feeling and that's why I loved it. Lately though, the tone of the show has changed and it feels like the focus of the conversation has too. The status of women in media has dominated the show. The balance of hosts and opinions is lacking these days. I suggest Hypable devote a new podcast to this issue that looks at the entertainment industry in light of social justice issues. But I don't think Hype is the forum for it. I say this as a 30-something year old professional woman with a college education who is politically active: please get back to what Hype does best - report on the latest fandom news - without the political commentaries, please. I miss my escape into my favorite books, movies and tv.

Love the revamped show! The hosts have great chemistry! Best entertainment podcast. Highly recommend.

I love the Hypable site, but if you want to listen to this podcast, be prepared for extreme bias. The hosts complain every single episode about the same things (race, gender, violence, etc.) Voicing opinions are great, but they will shove theirs down your throat every time & try to make you feel less if you don't agree. Feels like a political podcast. I want my entertainment & fandom news to be fun!

Selina is the moderator…There are several people on this podcast, but she’s my favorite. Andrew Sims started this podcast, but is so busy, I believe that Selina took over. She is GREAT! They keep you informed of ALL ‘hypable fandoms’…If you like it and it’s on TV, in the movies, or a book, music, ANYTHING, they will cover it here! EXCELLANT show!

Great for keeping up to date on what's going on in fandom, across multiple fandoms!

Great bunch of diverse hosts cover the most current entertainment news - TV, film, music, games and books. What differentiates Hype from the plethora of similar format shows is their slightly fringe recommendations thrown into the mix. I've checked out super interesting random Danish rock music, new fantasy writers and British shows long before they hit our shores all because of the raves from the Hype team - a team originating from the USA, Europe and Australia! Highly rated for consistency and quality. They bring their A game each and every week. Whoop whoop.

I listen to A LOT of podcasts and Hype is one of my favorites! It’s not only about the content but it’s about the people! Greats hosts are so important and Hype makes me feel like I’m part of the team. Feels like hanging out amongst friends :)

One of my favorites! The only way it could have been 5 stars was for nit picky reasons (episodes more often, perhaps add a little structure through something like first news, the some kind of call in game or something, instead of all news news news, maybe a bit more humor?) It's a great show though, keep it up!

LOVE this podcast so much! my fave podcast i listen to by far! my favorite hosts are Andrew, Marama, and Tariq Kyle but i love all of them the episodes just flow like a funny/amusing conversation between friends and i am able to know the basics of everything going on from books/movies/tv shows and more! my only wish the eps were longer and more frequent- but i guess there is only so much to talk about :P but yeah TOTALLY subscribe to this you won't be sorry!!

It keeps me current on pop culture.

I find that the conversations are entertaining, but often frustrating because the hosts commonly comment on things they haven't even watched, so it just comes off as unintelligent. The hosts are funny and cool but I wish that they had someone who actually watched what was being talked about. Yeah they have opinions but they can be baseless sonetimes.

Fun to listen too, and I love hearing about what's going on in the world and on hypable. The hosts are great as well!

Keeps me up-to-date on all the important entertainment stories. The 4 hosts are enjoyable to listen to and Andrew Sims is a master at knowing when to move on to the next topic. I listen to a ton of podcasts and consider Andrew one of the best hosts out there. Any podcast he does I'll listen to. He has been doing it since shortly after the format was born and is at the top of his game with Hype. Keep it up.

You know, I love podcasts. But every time I try to listen to a podcast where Andrew Sims isn’t involved, part of the magic is missing. It’s not his hilarious pronunciation of any weird words, though. He’s just a really, really good podcaster and he’s been at it for almost 10 years now so he’s even better now. But Hype is much more than Andrew Sims. With a fantastic rotating cast of hosts, you always get plenty of different opinions and points of view. But the best thing about Hype is, by far, how informative it is. When the episode’s over, you are up to date on book news, TV news, Movie news…it’s just so entertaining to listen to these people discuss all of these topics! Too bad they’re not recommending things at the end, though. That’s how I decided to see Orphan Black and Orange is the New Black, two of my favorite TV Shows from last year.

The hosts bring us the best and most significant news of the entertainment industry of the moment with humour and insightful opnions. The mix of people with diferent tastes also helps the podcast not to get stale or one sided. Always a great way to know what to look foward to or read about. If you expect good quality, you shall not be disapointed!

This is a great podcast that keeps me current on all the latest fads. The hosts are involved in numerous fan-doms and are quite knowledgeable on a wide array of topics. I especially like their recommendations of books, tv shows, and movies. It helps me sort through the clutter and get to the good stuff. :)

Bunch of Harry Potter fanatics who dress themselves up as fans of other fandoms. They make fun of fandoms like Twilight and look down on Stephenie Meyer for no reason. If I wanted to listen to a hate podcast on her I would waste my time listening to other podcasts. They need more variety of hosts on their show if their going to represent different fandoms. Because not everyone loves Harry Potter and agrees with your bias opinions ! PATHETIC ! I do like the female who's on every week but that's about it.

The first episode of hype was amazing which only means it can go up from here. I love hypable and I think that this podcast was a great idea. It was super organized and the hosts are relatable, which is half the battle to finding a good podcast. Congrats!

Overall the "pilot" episode of Hype was excellent. I felt it was well-rounded, organized, the hosts had good chemistry, and there was a good, relaxed, yet professional vibe. Great work, guys! Can't wait for more!
