Dr. Diana Londoño is a Board-Certified Urologist and one of the 10% of urologists in the US who is a woman, and the 0.5% that are Latinx and a woman. Dr. Londoño is originally from Mexico City, and she received all her education in the Los Angeles Area, going to Claremont McKenna College for her undergraduate studies, then attending UCLA for her medical school training. She finished a 6-year residency in Urology at Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles. She has experienced burnout twice which led her to use her experiences and become a writer publishing more than 30 articles in the last year in outlets such as Medscape, Doximity, Kevin MD, Giddy.com. She is also an international speaker and guest on multiple podcasts discussing topics such as wellness, boundaries, ego, humanity in medicine, mindset, and mindfulness. She also has been featured on TV on Univision, Telemundo, Mundo Fox, CNN Latino, KCET, ABC and as a health consultant and discussing different urological topics. Her journey led her to become a Certified Life Coach and Founder of Physician Coach Support.com, a free and confidential 1:1 peer support platform for physicians which is available, 7 days a week via zoom.

The descriptions are graphic in nature.  Kevin McNeil is a Transformational Speaker, Victim Advocate, author, and CEO of the Twe12e Project, an organization that educates the world on the effects of trauma and abuse on individuals, families, and communities. Kevin’s passion is to help others heal from the effects of trauma and abuse. He is a renowned speaker who shares lessons from his own life experiences that transform, motivate, and inspire an individual’s mindset and potential. Kevin retired from the DeKalb County Police Department of Georgia after 20 years of service. He served eight years as a Police Officer, and twelve years as a Special Victims Unit Detective. His training and attention to detail helped him solve several high-profile serial rape cases in the Atlanta area. Kevin’s background coupled with his extensive research on trauma and the effects of abuse, defines and differentiates his message. He travels internationally speaking on topics relevant to Child Advocacy Centers, Police Departments, Department of Family and Children Services, District Attorney’s Offices, athletic organizations, schools and universities, parents, and foster parents, as well as community members. Kevin has appeared on numerous radio, television, and podcast programs; including TV One’s crime investigative series ‘Fatal Attraction’ and has been a guest on Jim Clemente’s podcast ‘Best Case, Worst Case,’ along with being featured in several magazine articles. Kevin has delivered the keynote presentation and workshops at the International Child Symposium on Child Abuse in Huntsville, Alabama, delivered a plenary presentation and workshops at the San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment in San Diego, California, and has spoken at events sponsored by Darkness to Light, GNESA, and numerous Child Advocacy Centers across the United States. In April of 2019, he traveled to Bermuda to help train law enforcement surrounding child abuse and child sexual assault. Kevin’s mission is to “motivate change in the world through trauma and abuse education,” and his vision is to “create a better tomorrow for today’s children.”

Mary Beth Nelson has been a forensic interviewer for 18 years, conducting over 1200 forensic interviews and testifying in over 100 criminal trials involving sexual abuse, physical abuse, child witnesses to violence and child sex trafficking.  Mary Beth serves on the faculty of Child First Georgia, the forensic interview training program in Georgia.  She is a member of the Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force and works closely with Children’s Advocacy Centers of Georgia CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children) Response Team.

Adverse Childhood Experiences with Dr. Shanta Dube, PhD
The ACE studies, or adverse childhood experiences studies, are a group of research studies that focus on how trauma in childhood affects health outcomes in adulthood, including reproduction, mental health, smoking, mortality, and many other factors.  Dr. Shanta R. Dube, PhD, this week's guest, is an expert on ACEs and adult outcomes. Dr. Dube is a behavioral and social epidemiologist with a public health career spanning over 20 years. During her 20-year career, she served as an early investigator on the landmark CDC-Kaiser Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. Her research contributions from the ACE Study gained both national and international recognition across various sectors and led to a CDC award for scientific excellence. From 2014-2021, she had an academic appointment as Associate Professor at Georgia State University, School of Public Health and engaged with various agencies to provide professional training on ACEs science and trauma-informed care. Shanta also teaches Ayurveda to improve health and build resilience. She holds workshops in the US, India, and other countries, teaching in Ayurveda. Dr. Dube is a Professor and Director of Master of Public Health Program at Wingate University, Levine College of Health Sciences.

Mindful Grieving with Dr. Betty Kramer, PhD
Dr. Betty J. Kramer (Lama Chonyi) is a Professor Emeritus of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a nationally recognized gerontology researcher, scholar and educator who specializes in palliative and end-of-life care, dementia, family caregiving and grief and bereavement. She is co-author of the first evidence-based textbook to profile grief and bereavement interventions for human service professionals entitled Living Through Loss: Interventions Across the Life-Span (2006).  As the recipient of two national awards, Dr. Kramer received support to implement several projects relevant to improving palliative and end-of-life care.  She is the recipient of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) Distinguished Researcher Award (2008). In addition, she has 35 years of experience with various forms of meditation, a long-standing interest in Eastern perspectives on mental health, and is a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism. Dr. Kramer/Lama Chonyi is a teacher for Joyful Path Healing Center in Madison Wisconsin and is an ordained senior student and Lama within White Conch Dharma Center.
