Carter was 1/2 of the reggae rap duo that saw much success in the 2010s, with their first two albums both charting in the top half of the Billboard 200; the second of the two boasting a spot in the top 10 US rap, indie, rock, and alternative charts. A feel-good sound that captured the masses for nearly a decade but eventually fizzled out left Carter on a quest as a solo artist with the simple goal of bringing good vibes and showing his most authentic self through his new music.
