Something useful in every episode
I learn something in every episode, and that’s great. But I’m also entertained by every episode, and that’s unusual for these kinds of podcasts. This is one podcast on which I’m always up to date!

Wow!!
I thought I was coming to a podcast for motivation and encouragement, as I am still a bit fearful in my endeavor. After listening to 2 full episodes I wanted to tear up my business plans and never think about pursing my goals ... EVER! Thank goodness I still have optimism and a strong desire to keep working to make my nonprofit successful. But this podcast right here ... Issa no for me. Thanks anyway!

VERY NEGATIVE
This podcast is very negative, PERIOD. Why do you have a podcast about nonprofits if you are going to discourage others to start their own nonprofits? Very strange and pessimistic.

Oddly negative
After listening to three episodes it seems this podcast is very pessimistic. They state several times that you should not start a non profit. Very odd. News flash - everyone has a podcast too...

Julie and Trent do an incredible job leading conversations that cover a huge breadth of topics related to the ins and outs of building a thriving non-profit, and life you can be proud of - from leaders who’ve actually experienced success themselves. Frank, Informative, Engaging
Found this recently while looking for smart learning on what foundations expect from nonprofits. I immediately became engrossed, listening to every episode driving from Atlanta to Florida. Among the many insights I learned was that our nonprofit is Not Qualified for Foundation support but what we offer other nonprofits is essential. This is shaping our new approach as we move ahead to 2030. Also, Judy raved about the value of the NTEN conference and I signed up to attend and volunteered to be a volunteer to save us some dough (application pending!). Finally, the Eisner Foundation focus on “age diversity” is one that matters to us. Many of our volunteers are older and concerned with staying relevant in their careers (the creative community is youth dominated). So! THANK YOU Judy and Trent. You have helped us rethink how we can best serve the nonprofits we serve through our giving model. Finally, how does Judy spell her last name?

Very helpful podcast!
For someone interested in getting involved in a nonprofit, but knowing very little about how they operate, I found this series extremely beneficial. I want more!

Yikes.
A podcast about nonprofits who highly discourages non-profits. Interesting.

Great podcast
I run a nonprofit museum in North Carolina. I’ve shared this podcast with several people. It’s honest and gives multiple perspectives. Finally, something that pokes holes in meaningless fundraising events. I love the advice Trent gives about how to interact with private foundations. All the topics have been relevant. Keep it up!
