HTEP against the AAPI Community? With Ceena Vang, Zora Bowens & Andrew Kim
Can we end prejudice against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders? If so, how? We hear from three thought leaders who are taking the fight against prejudice and for unity head on. Ceena Vang is a first generation Hmong American from Troy, Michigan currently living in Detroit. This year, she co-founded WWN (Whenever We're Needed - a community organization supporting Asian, Black, and marginalized communities through unity, solidarity, and action - whenever and wherever we’re needed). Zora Bowens is a 23 year old creative and activist from Detroit. Zora freelances in experimental marketing, design and fashion photography and co-founded Wherever We Are Needed with Ceena this year. Andrew Kim is originally from Vancouver, Canada and currently serves as a Teaching and Discipleship Pastor at Kensington Church in Troy, Michigan. He's a 2nd generation Korean American who outside of Canada has primarily lived on the east coast and the midwest.
