Love Horror Rewind! It’s a fun rewatch podcast that also tackles important issues, like feminism and racism as they relate to the genre. Meg and Kelly have great chemistry, kinda feel like I’m hanging with my friends when I’m listening!

So I’m Kelly and Meg’s new producer, WOOHOO! Can’t wait for you all to hear what we’ve done to revamp the show! I’m here dropping a review, because I’m actually now a big fan of Kelly and Meg’s works and their show. YES YES I know I’ve got a bias but I swear they didn’t pay me to say any of this! Their knowledge of the Horror genre mixed with their quirky back an forth make this show so fun to listen to and even more fun to produce! Thanks for listening y’all! If you want an intelligent, stimulating podcast where you are entertained & learn something- then this isn’t it! I had high hopes for this podcast after purchasing one of their “The Science of” books, & it’s like it’s not even the same people that wrote it. All my hopes were dashed! Other feminist podcasts dive DEEP, do homework & research, talk about tropes, hidden themes, politics, etc. These ladies don’t even talk about the subject matter- they just ramble about COMPLETELY unrelated topics thru 99% of the episodes. They do manage to talk about their idiotic husbands during EVERY episode though! They really should listen to their competitors & try to do better. They do not come across as intelligent or feminist at all & it’s awful.

Been listening to the podcast for a long time. I enjoy what the main hosts have to say and it’s cute when they bring their kids on. I wish they had better audio because sometimes.. it’s like the put their phone to their mic and decided it was good enough to publish. I just don’t understand. The audio inconsistency makes me want to unsubscribe.

I’ll try a few without him but he makes a Pauly Shore character seem akin to a genius. Suffered through the Ready or Not episode minutes after seeing it just checking for podcasts on the film, and wow, is he dense. Saying a bit where she looks at herself in the mirror for a couple seconds was unrealistic, in a supernatural horror, semi-parody flick, and he would have just run into the woods. The house was completely locked down, which was very obviously pointed out. Or why didn’t the husband tell her about the possibility of the hide and seek option? Uhhh, ‘cause there’d be no movie. The funniest and most ludicrous comment (amongst many others) was how he noticed there was a strong family aspect. Yeah, that’s what the whole premise and main crux of the entire thing is, mate. I may have to check out a few more with him on second thought, because it is kinda comedy gold, in the most stereotypical stoner brain turned to mush way. Kelly stated she married into this family. I hope he’s not the husband or she’d probably volunteer for the H’n’S “game.” 😂

I give this podcast 4/5 full moons (just listened to the American Werewolf In London episode). Just found this podcast when I was looking for a solid horror movie podcast and luckily I found Horror Rewind! The standard two hosts know a lot about horror movies and culture in general. They’re moms which I love. They have dope taste in movies. They give some insight into movies that I dig and they don’t drag on and on, very short and sweet episodes. Great show y’all!

So I just stumbled on this podcast and I love it! I just saw Hereditary and couldn’t find a good podcast about it, so I fully appreciate the recap and discussion. The lovely hosts are great, I def subscribed, and look forward to listening to the rest of the episodes :)

I only listened to the Halloween episode as I am a big Michal Myers fan. Did you even watch the movie? You didn't even list some of the characters. You jumped down so many rabbit holes, talking about zombies and The Exorcist. The whole episode had maybe 7-8 minutes of content about the movie. The giggling from the gal was annoying. Who giggles when talking about horror?! I would not recommend at all to any fellow podcast listener. Two thumbs down.

I have been listening to this podcast for a couple months and have checked out their older episodes. I like the different take on films I watched growing up and it gives me a different interpretation. As a male I love getting a woman's perspective. There are even films I haven't see but plan to now thanks to these ladies. Would recommend to others who love horror.

Brings me back to my childhood!! Fun to hear about the horror movies of my past and how they hold up so many years later.

Huge horror fan here. Highly recommended.
