This conversation reminded me of how sweet of a place it is to be in full dependence on God. Shelbs always reminds me of the importance of saying yes and walking in what God has called you to. I am celebrating God's faithfulness through my friendship with her. She is the real deal & I'm grateful for the power of God within her! Check out our conversation!

Caitlyn is who I want to be when I grow up, and I have loved the way God has allowed our paths to cross over the past several years! She has such a heart for the Gospel and the people around her. I have been so challenged by the ways that she so boldly loves her neighbor! You will love hearing her love for sports as well as the practical advice she gives in choosing hope in the day to day!

Rusty Stroupe is so much more than a baseball coach even though that is what he did for a majority of his life. He is a truth speaker and a friend to all. He will make you laugh and also point you to Jesus. I am SO thankful for this conversation. God has used Coach Stroupe in my life in such a big way. You will love hearing about his memories in the sports world and how his foundation of HOPE made everything worth while!

WELCOME TO SEASON 5! This season takes a look into the lives of individuals within the athletic world who choose HOPE in the midst of a world that naturally has a lot of hype. Jake DeLaney is the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Gardner-Webb University as well as a faithful follower of Jesus. This conversation has some DEEP hope, and our prayer is that you will walk away knowing God better and knowing the HOPE to which you have been called.  We would love to dedicate this episode in loving memory of Jane Delaney.  "Barbara Jane DeLaney arrived at her eternal home with Jesus at the age of 58 in Birmingham, AL, on Monday, August 23, 2021. She died after a four-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Jane was known for her deep and abiding love for Jesus Christ which overflowed into everything she lived for. She was a fiercely faithful friend, a fighter for the helpless, a devoted wife to her love, and a champion mother to her adoring children. Jane was a deep well of wisdom, a natural leader and a creative artist at heart. She has left a legacy of love in her wake and will be deeply missed by all who knew her" (Obituary of Barbara Jane DeLaney in Dignity Memorial 2021). 

MY GRAPHIC GUY. B has been such huge part of the process of Hope over Hype, and I am celebrating God's faithfulness through him! He has created all of what you see--from the logo to the graphics for each particular episode to T-shirt and sticker designs. He is extremely talented and most importantly, he gives glory to God in everything that he makes. I have LOVED having him involved in this journey, and I will hype him up every chance I get because we couldn't do it without him over here at Hope over Hype! A fun conversation with the GREATEST GRAPHIC GUY OUT THERE. 

Jared Roess. The ultimate bro & the guy who will hype you up more than anybody else. He went from the hype to the HOPE, and we are CELEBRATING! There is so much honesty in this conversation, and I'm reminded every time I talk to Jared in the power of the GOSPEL. I'm thankful to know him, and I'm thankful you get the chance to know him too in this episode! A life transformed by the mighty hand of God--what could be better than that?!?
