Archimandrite Athanasios Mitilinaios (1927-2006), was abbot of the Holy Monastery of St John the Theologian, Larisa, and was one of the most eminent and beloved teachers and Gospel preachers of the church in the 20th century. His word was deeply rooted in the Holy Scripture and the patristic teaching of the Orthodox Church. His teaching is rich in theological truth, yet always understandable, practical and beneficial to the hearer.
