Did you know there are things that a Realtor can and CANNOT say about schools?I mean let's face it, a lot of people purchase their first home with schools in mind. And who better to ask than the Realtor you know and trust? WELP...We legally CANNOT give our opinion on them. In this episode we talk about why and some of the other things that we TRULY cannot talk about with you as a client. The key is to do your research first and give YOUR search criteria to your agent. When purchasing a home it is not ALL about the purchase price! Sure everyone wants a good deal and the best bargain for TOP NOTCH quality but at the end of the day there are other ways to come out of negotiations with a win. From last week talking about closing costs and to this week how they can be negotiated into the contract to save you cash up front episodes 12 and 13 play into one another. When you close on the house you might think that you sign a piece of paper and get the keys. Well that is not the case. There are LOTS of papers and more fees. On this episode we talk about those fees and what they mean, why you pay them, and how it all balances out. Trust me I know that it is not the most FUN episode BUT the more you know the less that things can surprise you. And from my experience, surprise expenses at the closing table is the worst place to have them.
