Alien Viruses Pt. 4: The Armageddon FilesUnknown bodies. Unknown pathogens. Animals stopped grazing and began stampeding. People near the affected area suffered stomach problems and disturbing skin reactions. Some suspected a UFO. Somaliland President Muhammad Haji Ibrahim Egal believed something more conventional—but no less concerning—may have exploded over the region and publicly sought outside help determining what happened. Then we travel to Brazil.On January 20, 1996, the city of Varginha became the center of one of the strangest alleged UFO incidents in modern history.Witnesses described a bizarre humanoid creature with an oversized head, large red eyes, unusual protrusions on its skull and wet, shiny skin. According to the accounts explored in this episode, military and police personnel became involved, creatures were allegedly captured, hospitals were placed under unusual security—and rumors of American involvement soon followed. But for this series, one detail stands above the rest.A police officer associated with the alleged capture later became severely ill and died.Medical findings described serious infection, immune-system abnormalities, pneumonia and septicemia. The story would become one of the most disturbing pieces of the Varginha mystery: could physical contact with the creature have played a role in his death?From there, things get considerably stranger.We examine theories connecting cattle mutilations to biological research and HIV, claims of extraterrestrial biological warfare, and reports concerning a strange cluster of microbiologists who died or disappeared during the early 2000s. These are theories and claims rather than established evidence of an extraterrestrial program—but they form part of the increasingly bizarre material surrounding the Alien Viruses story. Then we meet “John.”According to his account, John worked at what would later become known as Area 51 in the early 1970s. What happens when the people sent to recover a crashed UFO start getting sick?In Part Two of Alien Viruses, we continue into the research presented by Nick Redfern and Dr. Robert M. Wood and follow one of the darkest threads surrounding alleged UFO crash-retrieval programs:Biological contamination.An alleged MJ-12 annual report describes personnel coming into contact with fluids from recovered non-human bodies. One technician reportedly collapsed while attempting to remove a body. Another slipped into a coma only hours after placing one into a body bag.Four technicians were eventually rushed to Los Alamos.According to the document, all four died after suffering seizures and profuse bleeding—despite wearing protective equipment.The suspected cause?A toxin or highly contagious disease associated with whatever had been recovered. But that's only the beginning.We dig into the strange history surrounding Camp Detrick, early biological-warfare research, retroviruses, and claims that biological samples recovered in New Mexico represented something potentially far more dangerous than extraterrestrial technology.We also look at a fascinating part of the UFO-document controversy itself: the possibility that genuine information could be deliberately mixed with false information, creating documents that can neither be completely authenticated nor completely dismissed. From there, the rabbit hole expands.Cattle mutilations.Biological warfare.UFO sightings occurring alongside disease outbreaks.Military and intelligence interest in whether unidentified craft could potentially deliver biological agents.And a strange 1950 story involving an object allegedly transported into a secured military hangar in Utah—followed by the unexplained deaths of all five men involved within a year. Then we arrive at Kingman, Arizona.According to the testimony attributed to “Fritz Werner,” a strange object crashed near Kingman on May 21, 1953. Alien Viruses: Crashed UFOs, MJ-12 & Biological ContaminationWhat if recovering a crashed UFO came with a danger nobody was prepared for?Not radiation. Not an explosion. Some paranormal cases survive because of folklore.Others survive because someone put what happened in writing.In this episode of Holosky, we travel to Vallecas, a working-class district of Madrid, Spain, for one of the country’s most infamous alleged hauntings: The Vallecas Case.The story centers on Estefanía Gutiérrez, a teenage girl whose life took a terrifying turn in the early 1990s.Months earlier, Estefanía's dying grandfather had reportedly left her with a chilling final threat:“If I cannot harm you in this life, I’ll harm you in the next.”Then, in February 1990, Estefanía and several friends attempted to contact a deceased friend using a homemade Ouija board at school. A teacher discovered the séance and abruptly broke the board apart. Witnesses claimed a strange gray smoke emerged from it—and that Estefanía inhaled it. Soon afterward, something began happening to her.Headaches and illness reportedly progressed into violent convulsions, unexplained voices, frightening changes in behavior, and sightings of human-shaped shadows lurking inside the family's apartment. Doctors investigated Estefanía's condition, but according to the case material, neurological and psychiatric evaluations failed to provide a complete explanation for what she was experiencing. Then, on August 14, 1991, 17-year-old Estefanía died.But for the Gutiérrez family, her death wasn't the end.It was the beginning.Knocking came from Estefanía's bedroom. Doors allegedly opened and slammed on their own. Religious objects were disturbed. Shadow figures appeared throughout the apartment. Unexplained fires were reported. The family even claimed that a photograph of Estefanía mysteriously caught fire inside its frame. Eventually, things became so frightening that the family did something unusual for a haunting case:They called the police.In November 1992, four National Police officers responded to the apartment.And according to their account, the phenomena didn't stop when the police arrived.Officers reported witnessing inexplicable movement inside the apartment, a cabinet door opening without anyone near it, disturbances involving a crucifix, a dramatic temperature drop—and even a dark human-shaped figure standing in the corridor. The Vallecas Case would become famous precisely because elements of the family's claims crossed over from paranormal testimony into an official police response.But decades later, another twist complicated the story when two of Estefanía's younger brothers claimed that they had faked some of the phenomena occurring inside the apartment. So what really happened in Vallecas?Was Estefanía the victim of an interrupted Ouija session?Did her grandfather's disturbing final words have anything to do with what followed?Did grief, fear and suggestion transform a family's tragedy into something paranormal?Or did something genuinely inexplicable enter that apartment—and remain there after Estefanía was gone?The Vallecas Haunting.Stay Safe. Some UFO encounters are strange.And then there are the ones that seem to completely ignore the rulebook.In this episode of Holosky, we dig into three close encounters involving entities so bizarre that they almost sound more like science fiction than traditional UFO reports.First, we travel back to Old Saybrook, Connecticut, in 1957, where retired schoolteacher Mary M. Starr was awakened in the middle of the night by an intense light pouring into her bedroom.Outside her window was a strange craft hovering near her home.And looking back at her through two windows were creatures unlike almost anything normally associated with UFO encounters—sickly yellow bodies, long red appendages, translucent cube-shaped heads, and glowing red spheres seemingly suspended inside them.Then we head to Paciência, Brazil, for the incredible story of bus driver Antonio La Rubia.While walking to work early one morning in 1977, Antonio encountered a massive metallic object sitting in a field. Moments later, he found himself surrounded by strange robot-like entities equipped with antennae, tentacle-like arms, pedestal-shaped lower bodies, and belts covered in syringes.What followed was an alleged abduction involving paralysis, examinations, bizarre images apparently showing events that had already happened—or were still to come—and an unexplained illness that would affect Antonio for more than a month.Finally, we travel to a fog-covered road near Domsten, Sweden, in December 1958.Hans Gustafsson and Stig Rydberg stopped their car after noticing a mysterious glow coming from the woods. After investigating, they discovered a strange disc-shaped object resting nearby.Then the things surrounding it came after them.The men described a swarm of living, gelatinous creatures that wrapped around their arms and legs and attempted to drag them toward the waiting saucer.
