History for the Taking
The repatriation and reclamation of historical artifacts involve both international proceedings and practically innumerable stakeholders. In History for the Taking, we examine the interactions between relevant bodies in the politics of cultural heritage, including museums, governments, UNESCO, private individuals, and terrorist groups. In each episode, we focus on a different case study, like the Parthenon Marbles, Holocaust art, and the looting of the Iraq Museum.
