This is a great podcast for anyone who knows and loves history. It’s also great for someone interested in broadening their knowledge on the subject. I enjoy the narrator’s pace, scope and cohesiveness within each subject. Thank you soooo much !!

I just discovered this podcast, and I am obsessed! I teach world history, and my knowledge has greatly expanded because of this podcast. I especially loved the scramble for Africa podcast because I am teaching that topic this week. I 100% recommend this podcast for any history teachers and lovers of history!

I’ve really appreciated every one of Mark’s episodes. I like how he gives a detailed back story to get you to the meat of the episode. He also shares a lot of new information I’d never heard before. Highly recommend. So far I haven’t noticed a political slant that would have sent me running.

My favorite podcast for a long drive! So insightful and easy to follow.

This show has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts to listen to in the car. Mark chooses great topics and is very easy to follow while providing all the relevant statistics and evidence to support his claims.

I discovered the podcaster on reddit who was a request poster to a history subreddit. decided to give his channel a try with the pompeii episode and now moving through the history of mankind episode by episode. very informative. maybe didn’t need to know THAT much about the roman numerical system.

Mark Palmer does a great job at explaining history in a way that is accessible yet not dumbed down. We listen as a family, and while my 8yo daughter can’t understand everything, she still doesn’t mind when I put it on. My 11yo enjoys listening and so do I. As a non American I find the show very agreeable in that it’s neither overly patriotic nor 1619ish. Hope to hear many more episodes!

Mark Palmer always seems to know exactly what his audience is interested in, and answers the very questions that everyone wants to know. Once again, a fascinating podcast from history analyzed.

Absolutely enjoyed this podcast. I just retired from teaching 3rd grade this year. I wish Mr. Palmer could have visited our classroom as a guest speaker, we were studying Ancient Rome! We read about the Punic Wars. Mr. Palmer gave tremendous insight into so many of the questions my students had. Looking forward to the next podcast❤️✔️👀

Mr. Palmer offers a well researched 60 minute discussion of various historical events. It’s well paced and he patiently peppers the podcast with numerous historical oddities and factoids that I can use at cocktail parties that make me seem like the smartest guy in the room. Pete K.
